Panic! or the Oasis re-release would need to sell about 3k to overtake Madge which I can't really see happening. It'd be nice if she could keep Aitch at bay though, somehow.

My vinyl arrived

Spent most of the day listening to this, what a fantastic collection. So nice to hear familiar classics in different ways.

 

My absolute favourite five are the mixes of Deeper and Deeper, What It Feels Like For A Girl, Girl Gone Wild, Sorry and Nothing Really Matters. Wow at all of these :wub:

 

Also loving having some of the single mixes and alternate cuts of the 80s/early 90s classics too. I actually like all of the mixes from Madame X too, quite a step up from the MDNA and Rebel Heart mixes for me, with the exception of that Avicii one.

I've got it on repeat too, as you says it's nice hearing songs you recognise and love played slightly differently, it really helps to refresh her discography. I agree about the Madame X remixes too, it feels like they've had more thought put into how they could compliment the original track rather than just have a generic poppers-o'clock remix over it (that said, I am actually really liking the 'Turn Up the Radio' remix which is probably most guilty of this, I just think it adds a bit more fun that the original is lacking).

 

I wonder what will happen to Steps and Madonna week 2?

If 'Finally Enough Love' is going to continue taking the streams away from 'The Immaculate Collection', then that's ~1.2k a week it's going to be able to achieve. Add on extra physical sales it may continue to get this week, I think it'll probably be low Top 75.

I’m still waiting on my hmv vinyl that I ordered on Monday, I got the dispatch email on Wednesday so should have counted for the first week right?

If it was dispatched Wednesday then yeah it counted for last week I believe!

^ This remix is so much better than the original, I've found myself returning to it a lot. Yes it's still generic but I think it's a lot of fun and the vocal sounds much improved.

People suggesting that Madonna saying she's now sold over 400m records means she could be getting new US certifications! Exciting!

Well the RIAA have updated Michael Jackson's certifications following what would have been his 64th birthday so hopefully they did do the same for Madonna and they'll be released soon!

Does anyone know if you stream a song from this album if it is added to the song's unit sales, I'm just assuming it would because it's a remix but I'm not sure considering other artists are credited and might be counted separately, for example the song Hollywood, also includes Calderone and Quayle on Spotify?

The streams that previous went to 'The Immaculate Collection' are applied to this album. In weeks 2 and 3 there were delayed vinyl shipments added so it's still been doing okay on sales, although they've dropped off now.

Finally ordered the red vinyl as saw it on offer for £20

This arrived today and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. There are a few tracks I’d swap out but largely the correct mixes are on the shortened album. Disc 1 is nonstop gold.

Just purchased the 3CD edition of this in HMV. £11.99! Given how many songs are on it I was happy with that price there wasn’t much difference at all between the price of the single disc edition as well.

 

 

Any news on when the deluxe edition reissues will start to roll out?

I see the album is still top 100 in todays mids, im genuinely shocked how long it has stayed around as i never expected it, should be silver by the end of this month aswell.
