December 29, 20213 yr You wouldn’t be the first Steps fan to suggest this! It’s the most Steps sounding of Steps songs! #shouldhavebeentheirdebut!
December 29, 20213 yr I read somewhere H & Claire wanted something that sounded a bit like Don’t Stop Movin’ / Alive by S Club as their debut. Not sure on the validity.
December 29, 20213 yr I read somewhere H & Claire wanted something that sounded a bit like Don’t Stop Movin’ / Alive by S Club as their debut. Not sure on the validity. And the end result was 'DJ'?! I remember liking it at the time, but preferring Half A Heart and then loooooooving All Out Of Love
December 29, 20213 yr Author Might have to give this a listen, I only remember hearing / caring for DJ (and not enough to buy it oops)
December 30, 20213 yr An Irish band Six that Nadine from Girls Aloud famously should have been in had a huge hit in Ireland with a whole lotta loving and would very much suit steps,,
December 30, 20213 yr An Irish band Six that Nadine from Girls Aloud famously should have been in had a huge hit in Ireland with a whole lotta loving and would very much suit steps,, I can see that! & how lucky was Nadine to not be stuck in a band that did nothing after the 1st hit. I remember UK pop stars was only months later
December 30, 20213 yr Ya it worked out very well for nadine that she lied about her age as six fell apart quickly,, the single sold 160k in ireland on debut week which is huge, its prob the equivalent of doing something close to a million in the uk in a week.
December 31, 20213 yr Oh, you know K-otic  Great idea! I Surrender would work very well as a Steps track, with Faye or Claire taking the female lead and H the male bits. I Don't Understand You could make for a lukewarm slow song for them. Sita has a good discography as well. Dance The Night Away or even Popstar could work well.
December 31, 20213 yr Deuce I think of as a sort of precursor to the idea of a group like Steps in the mid 90s! vauvJYSn1dI EDIT: Oh they've already been mentioned earlier in the thread - 'Call It Love' is their best song anyway imo! Edited December 31, 20213 yr by Auld Lang Snake
January 4, 20223 yr I know they’ve “been there, done that” but some of the newer Bananarama stuff would be a shout - Move in my Direction and Hypnotic Tango both bops that Steps would do well with. More “Something In Your Eyes” as opposed to “Victorious” or “I Will Love Again” if you know what I mean…
