^^ I think ‘The Motto’ will become a ‘forced’ Spotify hit - meaning that it will do well regardless so they eventually will have no choice but to support it

Im pretty sure that if HH were more dynamic, as a consequence the UK chart would be less stale too

They keep songs for too long in their top 10,

 

It's crazy sometimes how a song can get huge support on HH but doesn't really translate

take for example Becky Hill-My Heart Goes, huge support, #1 on the playlist for ages, supported for ages

even now it's still in their top 10, but then it just peaked at #11 :)

bit the same name with Adele - Oh my God...

 

I think they need to be a lot quicker at removing songs that are no longer in the chart and have died out, for example they still have Love Nwantiti, That’s what I want, Out Out, Woman, Happier than ever on the playlist, songs that have all left the chart, they could be replacing these tracks with newer ones…
Sometimes songs leave the chart because ACR though, not necessarily that they have suddenly lost popularity. I can still think that That's What I Want is worth play listing despite not charting super well on official singles chart. It's also Lil Nas X's current single. Same with Love Nwantiti.

I agree they shouldn't just follow the UK charts cos of ACR

but having the Becky Hill song in their top 10 for nearly 6 months doesn't make sense either

^^ We’re thinking Spotify even care about the UK charts when compiling their playlists, their only concern will be who is sending the cheques in :lol:
Well at least it’s a bit better than Todays Top Hits which just this week removed Montero, and still has Kiss Me More despite Doja having like 3 singles released since then!

well at least TTH puts the newbies up in the playlist on day 1, not 3 months after release

 

It’s not popular on TikTok at all! I assume it’s just playlists pushing it up.

 

Its harder to know what isn't a TikTok-fueled hit than what is one these days in the streaming charts!

If you have TikTok you can search for the song and work out it’s popularity on there by how many times it’s been used!

 

Or usually for songs big on TikTok, the comments in the YouTube videos for it will often say things like “here from Tiktok” etc. ;)

Thanks for the information. Do you think we will reach the day soon where there will be more TikTok-fueled hits in the chart than normal playlisted ones?
