John Summit could potentially get a first mainstream hit this year, be it with 'Human' which is currently top 100 on Apple or something released later on.

This would certainly be nice, and it's one of my new entries in my personal chart this week.

I completely forgot that Deep End did absolutely nothing for John in the end. Should've been massive

For such a huge club hit that was surprising, it definitely deserved to be a chart hit. It easily could've done a "Do It To It" if the mainstream Spotify playlists got behind it.

Regardless it did get a load of streams though, 33.3m for the original and 54.5m for the Sidepiece remix.

Fred Again.. and Ewan McVicar I would expect to have good chances of getting at least 1 other hit this year.

My choice would be Rules, who is a UK producer (originally from not too far away from me, but now London based). He's only put out one track in 2021, 'Carry You', which I almost sent to BJSC. A great blend of chilled dance and yes that is him playing the sax at the end!

Congratulations to TheSnake for correctly predicting that Fred again.. would have a hit in 2022! :cheer:

It seems so far that the other predictions in this thread were a little bit out but if anyone knew Eliza Rose at the start of 2022 then they would have been right. ;)

John Summit and Vintage Culture are both still massively overdue a hit.

Alok and Sonny Fodera too for that matter, though they’ve at least made the top 100.

Although if Deep Down won’t go anywhere near top 40 then that’s probably it for Alok.

Shame 'La Danza' made absolutely zero noise despite heavy support from Radio 1 (not that their support really directly produces hits these days but it still seems kind of unusual for a dance song to have that level of disconnect between R1 support and chart impact).
