A new Breakthrough category is additionally being introduced into the suite of Awards to help support new or more recently established artists. Albums become eligible for this certification when they become the first title by an act/artist to reach the 30,000 units mark.

 

So it can only be given once per artist for their first album to reach 30k.

And the BPI web site needs updating for 9th and 16th September.

 

However a poster over at HAVEN forum posted the certs for 9th September, getting them from UKChartsPlus.

Certifications are being announced today via the BRITs Twitter account.
