January 14, 20224 yr Author 07 | 08 | 8th week D-Block Europe featuring Central Cee Overseas 3rd single from Home Alone 2 Released: 19th November 2021 Label: D-Block Europe Chart Statistics NE (02/12/2021) | 8-12-11-12-25-36-8-7 Sales: 100k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio __ Sales 10 Audio Streaming 01 Video Streaming Video I4Ra4z2Arqg Biography “We’re the ones that are pushing this boundary,” D-Block Europe’s Young Adz told Apple Music. “People who are signing urban music over here—they call it urban, we call it pop in the streets—that ain’t street music. We’re doing street, UK, wavy music, front-lining it.” They might not consider themselves pop, but by the most literal definition, DBE are just that. Chart positions, sold-out arenas and a nomination for the 2020 BRIT Award for British Group (before they’d even released a debut album) all make them one of UK rap’s most popular acts. D-Block Europe was originally a collective that called upon various London MCs, but Adz and childhood friend Dirtbike LB have emerged as both the engine room and executive board of the operation. They met at Sedgehill School in South London, where Adz was dropping mixtapes from the age of 13. He signed an ultimately fruitless major-label deal at 15 before coming under the patronage of NY rap heavyweight Jadakiss, who offered features, support slots and license to use The LOX’s D-Block Records name. With a series of self-released singles and mixtapes, Young Adz and Dirtbike LB took their place at UK rap’s top table during the late 2010s. Leavening trap’s chilly textures and portraits of road life with sticky Auto-Tuned hooks, their music is notable for its nimble wordplay and candour. While D-Block quickly gathered notoriety for their unfiltered bedroom braggadocio (“Kitchen Kings”), their willingness to open up about mental health and therapy (“Prescription Drugs”) has made them a standout presence in UK rap. It’s all been done independently by the industrious duo (63 new tracks released across three mixtapes during 2019 alone). They’ve continuously waved away offers from labels, confident that no one can guide their career as well as they can. Every award, Top 5 release or filled arena only strengthens their self-belief. “When you see Messi kick ball, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime thing,” said Young Adz. “Sometimes, the people have to choose you because they’re like, ‘We ain’t never going to see this again—from their sounds, from what they talk about.’ Our personalities shine through our music. We’re bigger personalities than rappers.” - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History D-Block Europe 2018 49 Gucci Mane (D-Block Europe & Yxng Bane) -1- 2018 35 Nassty (D-Block Europe, Young Adz, Dirtbike LB & Lil Pino) -NAS- 2018 80 Tell The Truth (The Plug presents D-Block Europe & Rich The Kid) 2019 16 Kitchen Kings -1- 2019 62 Kettle Pouring -AT- 2019 70 Running Man -AT- 2019 20 Home P*ssy -1- 2019 53 Rich (The Plug presents D-Block Europe & Offset) 2019 16 Nookie (feat. January 14, 20224 yr Author 06 | 06 | 5th week Fireboy DML and Ed Sheeran Peru Non-album single Released: 21st July 2021 (original) / 24th December 2021 (remix) Label: YNBL Nation / EMPIRE Chart Statistics NE (11/11/2021) | 100-x RE (02/12/2021) | 89-x RE (06/01/2022) | 28-6-6 Sales: 100k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 11 Sales 14 Audio Streaming 07 Video Streaming Video pekzpzNCNDQ Biography Fireboy DML Fireboy DML is a Nigerian singer-songwriter whose music fuses Afropop, R&B, and soul. Born Adedamola Adefolahan, he grew up singing in church, started making music while at university, and eventually was signed by Nigerian rapper Olamide’s independent label, YBNL Nation. “Jealous,” his 2018 breakthrough single, won Listeners’ Choice honors at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival, presented by a popular African music TV channel. Within three days of its release, Fireboy DML’s 2019 debut album, Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps, garnered more than six million streams on a single music service. In July 2020, his “New York City Girl” reached No. 11 on Billboard’s Top Triller Global chart, and a month later, “Eli” peaked at No. 7 on the same chart. His sophomore album, APOLLO—featuring guest turns by American rapper D Smoke and Nigerian singer Wande Coal—rose to No. 14 on Billboard’s World Albums chart in 2020. - Apple Music Ed Sheeran There’s a lovely moment a little ways into Apple Music’s Songwriter documentary about Ed Sheeran in which Sheeran, jet-lagged and carrying a cup of tea, straggles out into a yard in Malibu at dawn, sits down at his laptop and begins writing a song about the moment right in front of him: the crisp air, the birdsong, the hot tea, the day ahead. He gets a full verse in, melody and all, then pauses. “Songs are weird things,” he says. “How so?” an interviewer asks. “They just come and go,” Sheeran says, smiling. “And they never give you any warning.” For Sheeran, they seem to come pretty reliably. Born in 1991 in Halifax, England, he started out gigging on the UK pub circuit before releasing his first studio album, +, in 2011, and has since become one of the most unstoppable singer-songwriters in music, forging a light blend of folk, pop, hip-hop and dance that feels slick but lived-in, intimate but universal. Whether on his own (“Sing”, “The A Team”, “Shape of You”, “Perfect”) or in collaboration with artists from Taylor Swift to Eminem to Justin Bieber, Sheeran has a unique ability to strike a chord that feels both bittersweet and redemptive, good-natured and genuine: the hopeless romantic who convinces you he might just be right. In 2017, he was made a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, touching Prince Charles on the arm while shaking his hand—a breach of royal protocol, and an appealingly human one at that. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Fireboy DML 2021 06 Peru (Fireboy DML & Ed Sheeran) -NAS- 0 x #1 | 0 x Top 5 | 1 x Top 10 | 1 x Top 20 | 1 x Top 40 | 1 x Top 100 Ed Sheeran 2011 03 The A Team -1- MILLION SELLER 2011 35 Hush Little Baby (Wretch 32 feat. His first album, Hypersonic Missiles, arrived in 2019. Born and raised in North Shields, just outside of Newcastle, Fender came from a musical family. After gigging locally, he was discovered by Ben Howard's manager, who helped pave the road for Fender's debut single, "Play God." Moody in tone and socially conscious, it was followed by two more singles, "Greasy Spoon" and "Millennial," before the BBC named Fender along with acts like Sigrid and Lewis Capaldi for their Sound of 2018 list. Tours with Hozier and Catfish and the Bottlemen followed, as did 2018 singles like "Leave Fast" and "That Sound," both of which later appeared on his EP Dead Boys, released by Polydor in November of that year. At the beginning of 2019, Fender entered his own studio in his hometown of North Shields to record his debut album with friend and producer Bramwell Bronte. He won the Brit Awards' Critics' Choice honor and made his U.S. television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! before Interscope/Polydor issued the resulting Hypersonic Missiles in September of 2019. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2019 89 Play God -1- 2019 48 Hypersonic Missiles -2- 2019 43 Will We Talk? -3- 2019 59 The Borders -IG- 2021 03 Seventeen Going Under -1- 2021 48 Get You Down -2- 2021 41 Spit Of You -3- 0 x #1 | 1 x Top 5 | 1 x Top 10 | 1 x Top 20 | 1 x Top 40 | 7 x Top 100 Social Media Sam Fender http://i.imgur.com/1SERq1f.png
