A national final correctly choosing the one good option they had? I'm shocked.

This could be pretty nice for Ireland, I don't want to say it's nailed on success but it's certainly the best chance they had.

Despite the studio jury somehow thinking she was the second worst of the night, the public saw sense and Brooke wins *.

I was raging at the jury with their scoring and surely they can see how wrong they called it but I half expected them to give Brendan Murrays song the 12 as that was far the worst song for me.

Delighted Brooke won both public and international jury as it's been my favourite the whole way through and I really think she has loads of room to up the anti with staging at eurovision itself and fingers crossed qualify. She performed it really good and will only improve.

The jury vote tonight highlighted why the internal selection the last few years for picking our entries was a disaster.

How on earth did the jury in the studio arrive at a 4 for Brooke , it looked like they wanted to make sure she did not win , it was by far the best song & has the best chance of progressing to the final . Brooke is very confident & will I think appeal to a lot of voters, at least I hope so .

Haha I loved how Brendan came last despite surely being the biggest 'name'. You had your chance love, you did shit.

Maybe the Irish jury had just lost their minds but I also wonder if they were told to make it a close result

I dont know you could hear the audience reaction when they announced the 4 for Brooke, the jury played everything else up to that point very safe saying every song was brilliant and everything they did was brilliant and all the vocals were brilliant they even said that for Rachel Goode and completely washed over the 2 bum notes she had (even though i did like the song in general myself)and then they delivered the killer blow in their results but thank god it wasnt their decision overall or Brooke was rightly screwed.

I cringed at them comparing the candidates to every pop singer out there <_<

The Janet Grogan Adele comparison was cringe and a big what planet are you on moment. Also overlooking Rachel Goodes bum notes was laughable especially when they highlighted how great her voice was, they needed someone on the panel who wasnt afraid to say something negative as it was all very nice and safe, the international jury were alot more in tune thank god as were the public.
"You're what Adele should sound like" was absolutely iconic.

Just looking at Irish itunes, dont know if all songs were made available to download but in the top 100

Brooke is 5

Janet 15

Rachel 18

Good song with some good production although I am not such a fan of the Ting Tings style chanting before the last chorus! The 'now you want me' backing vocal through the last chorus works well though!

I agree about the chanting part I'd prefer if it wasnt in it but all the rest is great,, I think if they can stage this aswell as they did with jedwards lipstick she will easily qualify.

On paddy power Ireland are listed as 275/1 to win, i just did an each way bet, i know its highly highly unlikely we will come top 5 but for the sake of €1 i said i would place a bet.

Brooke is performing on the late late show tonight so it will be interesting to see how different it will be from her national song contest performance.
This feels supremely underrated, I don't think it's going to win but praying it at least qualifies.

I feel the same and brooke is full of charm so I hope she goes through.

Now that the UK televoting gave Ireland 12 points, do we expect That's Rich to debut in UK Singles Chart next week?
