This doesn’t really scream lead single but it also wouldn’t really feel out of place if it were on any of her previous two albums (and both of them had a handful of strong tracks on there…) but this just feels like a leftover not something you’d lead a new campaign with.

I think she might have to rely on features now to get high charting tracks and her lead artist solo releases may perform how Ella Henderson’s do I think she’s going to have that sort of trajectory from this point.

Coming for her Jessie J R.O.S.E. era? :kink:

The song has a couple nice bits, but overall is OK at best and more of an album track to me.

I doubt this will do well. It’s certainly not up there with her bangers from last two albums. More of an album track than lead single.

I think pretty much everything after her first album all climbed to their eventual peaks on the charts (but they did do a lot better initially than what this appears to be doing).

I think this is a case of there just being almost no goodwill towards her from music forums / stan Twitter or interest towards her from the GP. She may need to do a lot of promo for this / send a cheque to the streaming sites. I think last I heard she had switched labels to Roc Nation but I know that labels worked out a lot better for some than others.

Exactly, I feel like the lead single "Silly Me" sounds much more like an album filler track. I'm sure there were other songs she could've chosen from, that would've made a much better lead single.

Its not that bad it takes time to build tho!
I really like this, would welcome it being a hit. Wasn’t the type of track I imagined her coming back with, but I think that’s a good thing.
Will be interesting to see how it performs on streaming as it was #2 on NMF on Spotify - still yet to get higher than #30 on iTunes.

She was fine as a featured vocalist for dance music, should have stuck to that.

I agree, I think since she's known for her dance music, anything she releases outside of that genre is going to rub her fans the wrong way.

So potentially looking as though this is going to sink without a trace unless something miraculous happens :kink:
It's a very disappointing comeback. Would be fine as an album track but I'm a bit baffled this was chosen to be her first single in 4 years.

Assuming she even has anything better up her sleeve.

I think she's trying the whole "I'm a serious artist" angle now.
