I've spent the last few weeks in LA working hard on new music. I was lucky enough to work with some incredible producers & songwriters and I'm so proud of what we came up with. I'm definitely not rushing when it comes to my music but I'm so excited for what we've achieved so far, and I can't wait to start sharing it with you all.

Hype! I really hope that she can avoid the “online only” hype and manages to be pretty successful at least! She deserves it!

I’m feeling most excited for Leigh’s music. Warner and Tap did such a great job with Dua that I’m sure they’ve got a great rollout planned!

I feel like she'll have incredible promo, very excited for her and the other girls!

It depends who the source is though in all honestly, since she played music for close friends it could just be.. them, and obviously they're going to hype her up. I'm perched for how she is going to be handled, given the fact her Management has had insane success with Dua, pushing for that sort of sound/image/ would be their best bet. Although Dua's charm comes from the fact she's quite "model-like" in personality - stunning, has talent but not a lot of substance in her personality whereas Leigh-Anne has buckets of personality, so I'm hoping they utilise that.

 

Either way I'm sure that her debut will come in the Summer, it has to be soon, right?

Yes the article says it's from her close friends. Essentially doesn't count for much. It's one of those headlines screaming for attention.

Are we expecting it to come out in July/August time?

They really are missing the boat waiting so long to release anything solo wise. I'd say the first single for any of them now would have to be an absolute undeniable hit to breakthrough now.

I'm struggling to see any release not peaking 1st week and sliding rather quickly down the chart.

Agreed.

 

I mean, of COURSE they're allowed to do their own thing and take as long as they want after 10 years of Little Mix but it does seem very foolish to wait a whole year (and counting) to release your solo material when all the hype from the Little Mix split will be long gone.

 

They obviously know they aren't going to get anywhere near LM levels of success with their solo attempts but I thought all three would like a solo top ten single under their belt at least and dragging it out this long is a weird choice. I think Perrie and Jade are more likely to get a hit than Leigh so I'd expect Leigh to release first to get the most hype. I feel like if she released last she'd probably be overshadowed by the other two.

I feel like Leigh will do well and surprise us!

 

I agree the wait has been so long but I see a top 10 peak for each girl with their debut singles.

 

They’ll all have radio support and I’m sure the labels will push. Leigh’s label/team have been doing great for her so far!

Ahhhh, i'm so excited!!

Gosh I just wish this above turns out to be true. The one who has been described as having little talent shocking everyone. That would gladden my heart.

We'll wait and see.

And yes I always thought she's the most ambitious of them all!
