The Rembrandts - 'I’ll Be There For You' of course the Friends theme and a big hit.

Eye Level by the Simon Park Orchestra was the theme to Van der Valk, it was a number 1.

 

Stranger On The Shore by Acker Bilk was the theme to Stranger On The Shore, number 2.

Class thanks, that’s the ultimate list. Can’t believe the X-Files theme made it to no2, love the theme but not the most obvious chart hit. Love true OC theme by Gavin back in the day!

That wasn't based on the Eastenders theme tune, that was just a song that Nick Berry's character performed in the show. Maybe you're thinking of Anita Dobson's 'Anyone Can Fall In Love' which was based around the Eastenders theme tune - it didn't make #1 though, only #4.

It's actually a really, really good song in full as well.

Great to see neighbours fans doing what they can, hopefully it can help the cause.

Liam Gallagher has dropped the price of the single to 59p on iTunes. I'm pretty out of touch with iTunes, do people still regularly do this? And does it have much of an effect?
