IDENTICAL!!

It's all in the toned-down vocals, the wishy washy lyrics, and the soft drums and dinky-dinky synthetic beats.

Seeing so many bad choices here forced me to even like what she and her label actually chose to release

Yup, like Bloody Mary!!!

Another thing that makes me upset is the fact that she always wants to do everything herself, especially on this album. In 2011, Katy used Kanye, Missy Elliott and B.o.B to hit #1 on the Hot 100. Rihanna used Britney to hit #1 as well. Britney used Ke$ha and Nicki to get a hit and so on. I don't understand why she always refused to collab, compared to the other artists, those quick remixes always make the eras last longer, she could have milked this album so much more. TEOG and Y&I could have been #1 with some remixes with big artists.

So you didn't actually listen to them and you're just being deliberately obtuse. Good to know.

I think Judas definitely sounds quite Steps in the chorus - a Google search shows many agreeing with this.

I can't hear Steps on any of the other songs though, including Bloody Mary :gaga:

Who cares if something is cheesy or sounds like Steps?

(Also, 'Bloody Mary' does not)

Most if not all images from that photo shoot will scare away potential buyers lol x

That cover would be gorgeous! Surely we don't want Gaga to diminish all of her artistry just for a bit more palatability. That's such a stunning photoshoot to me.
I love how fearless she was with her artistry in this era and applaud her for the vision and message she had throughout. I think it's what cemented her devoted fan base she has till this day. The plebs and potential buyers have Shallow and ASIB x

Completely this.

I'm sorry but comparisons to Katy Perry et al who got people to jump on remixes to boost their singles up on the charts was great for them back in the day but as Kath said, it is Gaga's fearless determination to her art and vision that has meant she has withstood a lot of changes in the music landscape over the decade and is still on top of her game. I am so glad she stuck to her guns and didn't let a whiff of a song peaking one or two places higher potentially damage her artistic integrity!

In terms of artwork for the era, the photoshoot for the album artwork and its booklet / subsequent singles is one of her greatest ever photoshoots. It's such an incredible collection of images as shown here: https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=born+t...ImageBasicHover

Why they chose the weakest of those images (the motorbike) still frustrates me, but they had a message to go with it and I guess it's striking if nothing else. But yeah, definitely my least favourite of the shoot and the one I'd have as the album cover the LEAST lmao!
