I also wouldn’t mind doing a top 25 of my Steps songs. After everyone that wants to do one has done one of course. I’ll need to start putting a lost together though.

I have a very solid top 15 but 16-25 can change pending on the mood.

'To The Beat of My Heart' - Fantastic track that was one of my top picks when the album came out & very happy that it became a single. 'WTFH PT 1' had a fantastic singles run while 'Pt 2 had a very lacklustre run (so far).

 

I do agree! Shame, as it’s a strong album.

#18 Paradise lost

 

And here we have another album track from Buzz. This really should have been a single imo. The whole dreamy/summery vibe alone is reason enough. Also, this could’ve gotten a great video. Such a shame but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying this track :heart:

 

Why?

-The summer/get lost in the dessert mood.

-The single that got away.

-Imagine the video :heart:

I agree, a great choice and slotted in perfectly to the Party on the Dancefloor tour!

Paradise Lost, the single that should have been.

Personally, I would rate this higher.

 

"Paradise Lost" - Stunning track & perhaps their greatest album track. I know many see this as the single that got away & yes I totally agree. I remember they held a vote on their website back in 2001 as to what the next single should be & "Here And Now" had the most votes with 'You'll Be Sorry" having the 2nd highest, so they chose both. I wonder if more people knew about this at the time, then 'PL' might have got chosen?

Also I may be in a minority here but I would have preferred a 'Paradise Lost/Happy Go Lucky' as the final 'Buzz' single.

I never knew about the vote but I would have def voted for it as a single as this back to you are their best album tracks for me.

PL/HGL would be fine by me. I would prefer it over HAN/YBS.

Overall i think paradise lost is very popular among fans.

Agree Paradise Lost is probably their best album track. Definitely a missed single opportunity.

I do like wasted tears but probably wouldnt rate it as high and same with To the beat of my heart

#17 Stomp

 

I did enjoy Stomp when it got released. Carefree Steps with a disco twist. The only let down was that it got to #1 as there are Steps singles who are way more deserving of the top spot imo! So good single, ‘wrong’ kind of succes. Still, I’m happy it gave them another #1 and it got certificated silver in the end (I was afraid this would score high on the worst selling #1 list of all time). Nowadays I don’t think it’s their ultimate best but it definitely deserves more credit! So a respectable #17 for this Stomper.

I loved Stomp when it was released and the video looked pure fun. I still like it now but it’s not one of their best in my view. Happy it gave them a #1 though.
