I don't understand why labels do this, with an act like Foxes they would surely want it to chart as high as possible? With the CDs being released separately this will more than likely cost it a top 20 position.

Not only that but the vinyl isn't due for shipment until July! Meanwhile the Friends in the Corner EP vinyl is supposed to finally ship next week, nearly eleven months after release. Granted there might be supply issues and she is on an indie label but they really aren't doing anything to help her chances of charting.

I mean, they could've waited to coincide the physical formats for Foxes. I feel like the only people interested would've bought it anyway, no matter how long it took. It's been 6 years.

Quite a few bands are looking at the vinyl wait times and releasing digital first just so their fans get something on original release date. May be one of those situations

Good enough start for James Morrisons greatest hits, with his sales so far he is safe to stay top 10.

Still #1 on iTunes with his £3.99 offer which started yesterday so hopefully that will give him a decent boost too

Yeah, I get the vinyl delay but not releasing the CDs at the same time as digital/streaming doesn't make sense.

They’ll get a higher chart position by combining the CD/vinyl release, so I imagine that’s why.

But they aren't even doing that, the CDs are due this month and the vinyls in July. Separating the release of all three formats will really impact what chart postion it could have had, although I doubt it will impact its sales overall.

Ah never mind ! That's a strange choice then.

Good that they are putting in the effort to keep sales coming in, i would have preferred if all the original singles were on the album rather than some new versions but id say that could have been to do with label issues.

^just listening now and it's a nice GH, forgot how good his voice is and some of his early hits are really nice

but a new version of Broken Strings without Nelly Furtado is not the same... :/

No Tuesday Chart?

As per post 1, it's not guaranteed and would be posted if we had one

Where are Joss Stone & Foxes? Are they chart eligible?
My ED TJATQ CD single has just shipped so guessing they will be added to this weeks chart?
