'sweetener' is my first loss so far that got points from anyone other than me, a bop.

Nick F1 confirmed to be Ariana in disguise with those points to 'R.E.M' :kink: (in all seriousness though I don't hate that song or anything but it's definitely one of her weaker tracks from the more recent albums).

R.E.M. is my favourite of that bunch. Really lovely track and just missed out on my votes.

=74 - =71:

=74. Popular Song (with MIKA)(25 points)

=74. Best Mistake (feat. Big Sean) (25 points)

=74. raindrops (an angel cried)(25 points)

73. Be My Baby (feat. Cashmere Cat) (26 points)

=71. better off (27 points)

=71. successful (27 points)

The first song of a three-way tie is Ariana’s feature on Lebanese-born English singer MIKA’s 'Popular Song' that appears on both his 3rd studio album ‘The Origin of Love’ and Ariana’s debut ‘Yours Truly’. The song samples the track ‘Popular’ from the musical Wicked and, with Ari set to star in the upcoming film adaptation, we might get to hear her version of the original pretty soon. Unfortunately, this has always been one of my least favourite tracks from Ariana but it’s still a popular song with Riser who awarded it 20 points and Lunar awarded it the extra 5. Next we have 'Best Mistake', a track from My Everything and a collaboration with her then soon to be boyfriend Big Sean. This is the first song to appear so far that made my votes. I ended up giving it 6 points and its total was increased more with HausofGucci giving it a further 19 points. This is the only time we will be hearing from Sean (in a credited role) as both ‘Right There’ and ‘Research’ failed to make anyone’s votes. 'raindrops (an angel cried)' is a 37 second cover of Frankie Valli & The Four Season’s ‘An Angel Cried’ that serves as the opener to the sweetener album. It’s a lovely way to open the album and allows Ari’s stunning vocals to shine with some wickedly long notes to get you in the mood for all that’s to come. It’s the only track from this section that has relied fully on one member for all of its points with …ready for it providing it with the full 25. Anyone who’s listened to the ‘My Everything’ album as much as me will know that 'Be My Baby' follows Best Mistake on the tracklist so it’s only fitting that it’s ended up with 1 more point and secured it’s position one place above. HausofGucci actually awarded this one point less than he did with BM with 18 but kath’s 8 points was enough to ensure it had the last laugh. This is the lowest of the Cashmere Cat collaborations. I personally would rank it in the middle of the three. Another sweetener track to drop out, 'better off' is about leaving a toxic relationship and is supposedly regarding her relationship with Mac Miller. This was originally not going to appear on the album and is one of the few tracks from sweetener that was never performed on the World Tour. One of the more subdued moments on the eclectic album, Ari doesn’t go for any high notes but the song still has some emotionally charged lyrics. Lunar is the biggest fan of the track, responsible for 20 of its total with Cremey providing the other 7. Just showing how eclectic sweetener really was, 'successful' is another track from the album but one that is incredibly different in terms on tone, style and lyricism. It’s a bit of a polarising track within her fanbase with some hating its atypical production choices and some loving its confidence and catchiness. I’m personally on the ‘love it’ side as I awarded it 11 points. Despite it’s marmite nature, this song had the most people include it in their votes from this section with it also appearing in 3 other peoples votes: …ready for it gave it 3, Nick F1 gave it 6 and kath gave it 7.

HausofGucci actually awarded this one point less than he did with BM with 18 but kath’s 8 points was enough to ensure it had the last laugh.

Yaaaaaasss Be My Baby supremacy  :)

I didn't vote for any of those but 'better off' was very close to making it!

'Popular Song' was the first Ariana song I ever charted :cheeseblock:

Sad to lose Be My Baby, Best Mistake and off the table - all had healthy points off me *_*

Sweetener is nice too - I hope that era isn't done dirty in this, it's forever underrated an album :snif:

Kii at a 37 second album intro being someone's 16th favourite Ariana song.

Not a lot in this section that I remember very well (and definitely nothing I voted for) - I didn't realise that re: the Wicked full circle moment though, that's quite neat.

70 - 66:

70. I Don't Do Drugs (with Doja Cat) (29 points)

=68. My Everything (31 points)

=68. motive (feat. Doja Cat) (31 points)

67. Get On Your Knees (with Nicki Minaj) (32 points)

66. love language (33 points)

Kicking off this section is the first of two appearances with Doja Cat! I Don't Do Drugs is taken from Doja's latest album 'Planet Her'. That record has a very high hit-rate, with a little help from TikTok, so maybe this could still end up being pushed in the future. The song has resulted in a Grammy nomination for Ariana as a writer and feature, thanks to a recent rule change. It's about being extremely intoxicated by someone - to the point when you can be blind to their actions. It was produced by Y2K and Sully who achieved a really explosive bass effect. This collab received three votes from Bré, Cremey and Nick F1 - the latter being its biggest fan. Next we have a tie for 68th place between My Everything and motive. The former is the title track from Ari's sophomore album and got a huge platform during 'One Love Manchester' when she gave an emotional performance of it alongside a children's choir. The latter is another Doja Cat collab but this time taken from one of Ariana's own albums - 'positions'. It was cherrypicked as one of the most popular songs from the album during release week (later gaining a resurgence thanks to TikTok too) - achieving a peak of #16 in the UK. The 'positions' album is quite chilled out in general but 'motive' is one of a handful that breaks it up a little with a more dynamic sound. 'My Everything' received points from HausofGucci and Kath, while fans of 'motive' were Cremey, Julian and NickF1. Taking 67th place all for itself is a feature from Ari with serial collaborator Nicki Minaj. This is Get On Your Knees taken from Nicki's 2014 album 'The Pinkprint'. I actually went to the accompanying tour with one of my best friends but unfortunately a surprise Ariana appearance wasn't to be. 'Get On Your Knees' was a warm-up to the similarly explicit 'Side To Side' a couple of years later - but this one remains as an album gem while the latter went on to be one of Ari's biggest hits. Nicki does her thing while Ariana brings some pop sensibilities and killer vocals to her contributions. Cremey, Julian, Kath and Nick all voted for it so a decent spread this low down! Rounding off this section at #66 is another more lively moment from the 'positions' album - love language. As the title suggests it's all about Ari trying to learn her partner's love language, also expressing that she loves how he understands her. This song has quite a dramatic flair to it where I think Ariana's musical theatre background has trickled into the creative process. The song ends on a surprising note with a complete change of pace. This was supposedly going to be turned into an interlude of its own but in the end was kept as an outro. ...ready for it?, Julian and Lewis were the trio that included the song in their lists.

Love Language is such a highlight from sweetener and motive is my favourite of the two Doja Car songs.

Surprised to see 'motive' finishing so low, wasn't far off my votes! I did vote for the other Doja collab here though (that song didn't stand out much to me on first listen but did grow on me a lot).

'My Everything' isn't a massive fave for me but I think I do remember the live performance at One Love Manchester being quite a standout moment.

My first votes dropping out now. So many tracks that I didn't give points to deserved them... Certainly 'I Don't Do Drugs' <_< Well anyway, I'm also in love with all the ones I voted for with such tough competition.

65 - 61:

65. Met Him Last Night (with Demi Lovato) (35 points)

=62. All My Love (with Major Lazer) (36 points)

=62. Baby I (36 points)

=62. Adore (with Cashmere Cat) (36 points)

61. Bang Bang (with Jessie J & Nicki Minaj) (42 points)

We have some notable collabs dropping out at this point. In 65th is a recent collaboration, almost turning a year old 'Met Him Last Night' sees the two powerhouse vocalists united. It served as the 4th single from Demi's acclaimed 'Dancing with the Devil... the Art of Starting Over' album. Although the song wasn't backed heavily by radios, it still managed to chart Top 50 many places around the globe and fans cannot deny that the song is quality. A hefty 21 points came from Brer with another generous 14 came from Cremey.

Next we have a three-way tie, first is the Hunger Games Soundtrack song 'All My Love' produced by no other than EDM troupe; Major Lazer. 13 points came from Cremey and Brer who are clearly sharing some taste. The other 10 points were awarded by fellow mod Jade.

Sharing 62nd place is the often forgotten second single from Ariana's debut album; 'Baby I'. 'ready for it...' awarded 19 points,'Riser' awarded 17. Also with 36 points is another collaboration with Cashmere Cat; 'Adore' was met with heavy praise upon release and even charted in the US despite being only a Bonus Track on Cashmere's album '9'. Leaving at this point means that users rate 'Quit' as their strongest joint effort. Kath provided the most points, marking it as their 8th overall favourite track (33 points), 'Jade' made up the extra 3 points.

Probably quite a shock elimination at this stage is the MEGA hit, girl power collab that is 'Bang Bang'. The track is lead by Jessie J and features Ariana alongside rap legend Nicki Minaj. It went on to sell MILLIONS world wide and scored Ari a 2nd #1 hit in the UK. Despite that, it didn't leave much of a long term impact on the members of Buzzjack. It managed to scrape 26 points from 'London' and 8 points from both 'ready for it...' and 'Nick F1'

Edited by JulianaGrande

I probably should've given Bang Bang some points tbh, not that it would've helped much. I don't really associate it with Ariana anyway so it doesn't feel like a major loss.
'My Everything' is a stunner :snif: such a beautiful song. It just missed my personal top 10 Ari songs in this.

It truly is and #justiceforAdore (the diction alone is iconic)

I could've sworn that the superior version of 'All My Love' from The Hunger Games soundtrack (as opposed to the remix with Machel Montano) wasn't on Spotify now but it seems to be back on there after a quick search, yay *.* a few other songs from the soundtrack are still greyed out though so no idea what's going on there. Banger anyway! Also a fan of 'Adore' although I do prefer 'Quit' from the Cashmere Cat collabs so I'm glad that one has finished higher.
(as opposed to the remix with Machel Montano)

I agree, the remix is horrible! :puke2:

Yay that it's back on streaming! I was properly obsessed with it at first. I guess for me it's just got lost in the crowd of material since, but listening to it right now, it certainly deserves a little justice.

I can't say I'm too disappointed to see any of that section drop out. Adore is probably my favourite of the bunch. Bang Bang would be alright if it wasn't for Jessie J.

60 - =55:

60. You’ll Never Know (43 points)[/i]

59. Hands On Me (feat. A$AP Ferg) (44 points)

58. Everyday (feat. Future) (45 points)

57. needy (49 points)

=55. borderline (feat. Missy Elliott) (53 points)

=55. Bed (with Nicki Minaj) (53 points)

This is the section for collaborations with rappers with no fewer than 4 of these 6 involving at least one rap verse. However, for the first track we go all the way back to her debut album and a solo release. Apparently, Ari did once say she originally hoped that ‘You’ll Never Know’ would be a duet with Demi Lovato but we had to wait until last year to see that combination. …ready for it ranked it within their top 10 favourite Ariana songs awarding it 33 points and kath awarded it a further 10. One point ahead is a track from her 2nd album, ‘Hands On Me’ features the vocal talents of the 2nd most prominent member of the A$AP Mob, A$AP Ferg who provides a verse and a Rocky-referencing bridge. It’s fun but pretty throwaway in my opinion. This one got points from the same duo (22 points from kath and 20 from …ready for it) and a further 2 from Brer. Following, the trend so far, the next track is from her 3rd album and it’s the first single of this section. ‘Everyday infamously received an interesting music video with Ariana and Future creepily singing while couples of all genders, races and ages make out very passionately, ignoring their presence. This ended up being one of Ariana’s worst performing singles commercially, peaking at #55 in the US and completely missing the UK Top 100. However, it does have fans on this site with 27 points coming from Riser, 15 from Brer and 3 from HausofGucci. ‘needy’ is a much more recent track from Ari, appearing as the second track on the ‘thank u, next’ album. Due to the album track being on ACR, this was one of the 3 eligible charting tracks on album release week in the UK and in the process nabbed itself an official top 10 peak. It wasn’t far off making my votes but it was luckier with others gaining 28 from kath and 21 from Lunar. Rounding off this section is two tracks equal in 55th position. ‘borderline’ features the legendary Missy Elliott and is one of the Pharrell produced tracks on the ‘sweetener’ album and in turn has some of the most off-kilter production amongst her discography. It’s not a stan favourite but still has plenty of fans. HausofGucci provided it 22 points, Nick F1 gave it 15, Brer awarded it 11 and kath served it with 5 points. On equal points is Ari’s feature on frequent collaborator Nicki Minaj’s ‘Bed’. This was from her ‘Queen’ album and achieved a top 20 peak in the UK. The music video sees the pair become mermaids and have a lovely time in some scenic locations. This only got points from 2 people but it scored big with both, totalling 27 from HausofGucci and 26 from Nick F1.

That's a pretty good showing for 'You’ll Never Know' :o

Didn't vote for any of these but my favourite would be 'Everyday' (questionable choice as a single aside)
