February 18, 20224 yr Author 12 | 06 | 2nd week ArrDee and Aitch War 3rd single from Pier Pressure Released: 3rd February 2022 Label: ArrDee Chart Statistics NE (17/02/2022) | 6-12 Sales: 20k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 21 Sales 12 Audio Streaming 04 Video Streaming Video SnaHMFvhNwQ Biography ArrDee “I'm an English boy, but I'm so bloody lit!” Those words arrive part of the way through ArrDee’s guest verse on the remix of Russ Million and Tion Wayne’s spring 2021 single, “Body”, and they served as the bright neon-sign advertisement for a charismatic new British rapper. ArrDee’s cameo on that track lasted less than 30 seconds, but its saucy sexual innuendo (not to mention the sharp pink sweatsuit/Burberry scarf combo he wore in the accompanying video) was enough to make him an instant viral sensation. The Brighton-based MC (born Riley Davies in 2002) wasted no time capitalising on his big breakout moment by dropping the Dickens-inspired “Oliver Twist” that June, reaffirming his flair for colourful, distinctly British storytelling that recalls a young Mike Skinner. But for all his rapid success, ArrDee credits his hometown for keeping him humble—and inspired. “In Brighton, it’s different than London—we say thank you to the bus driver, everyone says hello to everybody,” he tells Apple Music. “Even when I got to the clubs, they try to put me in VIP, but I like to be around the people. - Apple Music Aitch Navigating rap stardom is a tricky thing, but Aitch has it down pat. He’s chameleonic like the pop stars he collabs with, gritty like the grime artists that inspired him. Born Harrison Armstrong in Manchester in 1999, Aitch grew up removed from the London scene, where grime blossomed during his formative years, but soaked up the music from afar. Then, as a teenager, he started rapping, building a following online with his snaking flows and dizzying rhyme schemes. Things took off in 2018 when he dropped his menacing debut single “Straight Rhymez”, and Aitch has since risen to the pantheon of hip-hop. In tracks like the 2019 remix of Ed Sheeran’s “Take Me Back To London”, you’ll hear his transition away from grime to sticky pop-rap, but his dexterous raps remind that he hasn’t lost touch with his roots. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History ArrDee 2021 06 Oliver Twist -1- 2021 99 Jiggy (Whiz) -NAS- 2021 06 Wasted (Digga D & ArrDee) 2021 19 Wid It (Tion Wayne & ArrDee) 2021 05 Flowers (Say My Name) -2- 2022 06 War (ArrDee & Aitch) -3- 0 x #1 | 1 x Top 5 | 4 x Top 10 | 5 x Top 20 | 5 x Top 40 | 6 x Top 100 Aitch 2019 73 On The Way Home (JayKae & Aitch feat. February 18, 20224 yr Author 11 | 13 | 4th week Digga D and Still Brickin Pump 101 4th single from forthcoming studio album Released: 20th January 2022 Label: EGA Records / CGM Records Chart Statistics NE (03/02/2022) | 9-11-13-11 Sales: 60k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 52 Sales 16 Audio Streaming 03 Video Streaming Video BAuE8bGhnFc Biography U.K. drill MC Digga D spits gritty bars over low-end bass lines, trading in the dark, often violent lyrics associated with the genre. Digga D first emerged as part of West London crew 1011 before releasing a string of solo singles in 2017, including "Kill Confirmed," "Play for the Pagans," "No Hook," and "Next Up." The Metropolitan police launched a campaign to remove all of his videos in 2018, after they amassed significant views. This backfired, as Digga D fans re-uploaded them in multiple locations, leading to the police issuing a CBO (criminal behavior order) to the artist; this required him to screen all of his releases through the authorities, where they would not permit anything that incited violence against individuals or even certain areas of London. Singles that went through this process include "No Porkies," "Mad About Bars," and "Who?" Digga D was in and out of prison multiple times from 2017 to 2019; he was incarcerated during the release of his debut mixtape, Double Tap Diaries, in 2019. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Digga D 2019 20 No Diet -1- 2019 54 P4DP -AT- 2019 28 Mr Sheeen (Digga D & RUSS) -NAS- 2020 24 Woi -1- 2020 18 Chingy (It's Whatever) -2- 2020 59 Daily Duppy, Part 1 -NAS- 2020 49 Be The One (Rudimental feat. I think its less grating in the Dove Cameron song because it seems to fit that style of backing music better.
