February 18, 20224 yr Sam Fender's been here an absolute age but at least the song is one of the better songs in this top 10 so I'm not particularly fussed if it hangs around a little while longer.
February 18, 20224 yr looks like '=' has now spawned 5 top 5 singles! (6 if you count Merry Chritmas)

February 18, 20224 yr oh no! Thought we were gonna have a Encanto top 2! COuld Ed have actually got the #1?
February 18, 20224 yr This Top 10 feels so musty and ancient. Yep. Another year waiting for the charts to start moving at a slightly faster pace.
February 18, 20224 yr Honestly i'm happy cos at least Taylor has another top 3 single, unless she doesn't get credited by occ
February 18, 20224 yr I think it's a fairly good top 10 apart from DBE. Loving the Encanto, Sam Fender, Lost Frequencies, Luude. And I'm pretty much a fan of Ed overall.
February 18, 20224 yr An all Encanto/Ed Top 4 then :D thought it would be an Encanto 1-2 until those CDs dropped
February 18, 20224 yr Author 03 | 02 | 10th week Fireboy DML and Ed Sheeran Peru Non-album single Released: 21st July 2021 (original) / 24th December 2021 (remix) Label: YNBL Nation / EMPIRE Chart Statistics NE (11/11/2021) | 100-x RE (02/12/2021) | 89-x RE (06/01/2022) | 28-6-6-4-2-2-2-3 Sales: 200k+ Certification: Silver Status: Standard Chart Ratio 01 Sales 02 Audio Streaming 07 Video Streaming Video pekzpzNCNDQ Biography Fireboy DML Fireboy DML is a Nigerian singer-songwriter whose music fuses Afropop, R&B, and soul. Born Adedamola Adefolahan, he grew up singing in church, started making music while at university, and eventually was signed by Nigerian rapper Olamide’s independent label, YBNL Nation. “Jealous,” his 2018 breakthrough single, won Listeners’ Choice honors at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival, presented by a popular African music TV channel. Within three days of its release, Fireboy DML’s 2019 debut album, Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps, garnered more than six million streams on a single music service. In July 2020, his “New York City Girl” reached No. 11 on Billboard’s Top Triller Global chart, and a month later, “Eli” peaked at No. 7 on the same chart. His sophomore album, APOLLO—featuring guest turns by American rapper D Smoke and Nigerian singer Wande Coal—rose to No. 14 on Billboard’s World Albums chart in 2020. - Apple Music Ed Sheeran There’s a lovely moment a little ways into Apple Music’s Songwriter documentary about Ed Sheeran in which Sheeran, jet-lagged and carrying a cup of tea, straggles out into a yard in Malibu at dawn, sits down at his laptop and begins writing a song about the moment right in front of him: the crisp air, the birdsong, the hot tea, the day ahead. He gets a full verse in, melody and all, then pauses. “Songs are weird things,” he says. “How so?” an interviewer asks. “They just come and go,” Sheeran says, smiling. “And they never give you any warning.” For Sheeran, they seem to come pretty reliably. Born in 1991 in Halifax, England, he started out gigging on the UK pub circuit before releasing his first studio album, +, in 2011, and has since become one of the most unstoppable singer-songwriters in music, forging a light blend of folk, pop, hip-hop and dance that feels slick but lived-in, intimate but universal. Whether on his own (“Sing”, “The A Team”, “Shape of You”, “Perfect”) or in collaboration with artists from Taylor Swift to Eminem to Justin Bieber, Sheeran has a unique ability to strike a chord that feels both bittersweet and redemptive, good-natured and genuine: the hopeless romantic who convinces you he might just be right. In 2017, he was made a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, touching Prince Charles on the arm while shaking his hand—a breach of royal protocol, and an appealingly human one at that. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Fireboy DML 2021 02 Peru (Fireboy DML & Ed Sheeran) -NAS- 0 x #1 | 4 x Top 5 | 1 x Top 10 | 1 x Top 20 | 1 x Top 40 | 1 x Top 100 Ed Sheeran 2011 03 The A Team -1- MILLION SELLER 2011 35 Hush Little Baby (Wretch 32 feat. February 18, 20224 yr oh no! Thought we were gonna have a Encanto top 2! COuld Ed have actually got the #1? I hope not.
February 18, 20224 yr they definitely don't like surface pressure do they? always playing the shorter version... not liek its a short enough song as it is
February 18, 20224 yr Urgh the signed CDs did what they were supposed to then. (Get him back in the Top 3 I mean, doubt it could overtake Bruno)
February 18, 20224 yr I suppose Ed could feasibly have magiced up enough signed CDs to bag himself a #2 but I'd be surprised if he overtook Bruno given the sales lead that's been having all week.
February 18, 20224 yr I am raging that awful "song" has made it so high. At least it's (presumably) not #1 I suppose, I can be thankful for Encanto in that sense. Edited February 18, 20224 yr by Tawdry Hepburn
