Samples Calabria, preview up on TikTok. Someone in the comments says it's Maren Morris on the vocal?

I did groan at Calabria being sampled again, but I did unexpectedly start to like the Strange Fruits remix that became quite popular last year

so I suppose I might like this!

Hope it can do better than Way Too Long and Goodbye did, though I might have expected a more established hitmaker to be the vocalist. RAYE would have been a good choice.

Sounds more like Ella Henderson than Maren Morris to me.

Excited for this, still find it criminal that goodbye only peaked at #85, hopefully this can do a lot better!

Ella has richer voice that cannot be fully straightened by any DAW effects and stuff

oh god why, that topline doesn't sit well with the Calabria sample.

Can we just stop with the bland vocals familiar sample formula, its getting tiring

Fun fact: Enur and Rune RK (who is the artist of original "Calabria") are both pseudonyms of who we now know as Kölsch

Not sure what the holdup with this release is, but bumping the thread as it fell to page 6 with no activity in nearly a month.

 

This coming week would be a good idea for a release date, given that nothing that noteworthy is confirmed to be released next week (aside from Disclosure).
