Posted March 4, 20223 yr Very likely: Adore Delano Denali Mrs Kasha Davis Jaymes Mansfield (apparently asked for both early outs and AS) Kandy Ho Potentially: Aja LaBeija (allegedly invited and has been open about doing AS since she came back to drag) April Carrion (apparently has been shortlisted a few times, summer schedule cleared) Dahlia Sin Heidi N. Closet Jessica Wild (summer schedule cleared) Kalorie Karbashian Williams (summer schedule cleared) Kandy Muse (summer schedule unknown but has said she would drop everything for All Stars) Kimora Blac Nicky Doll Rock M. Sakura Tempest DuJour Utica (allegedly asked and has cleared her schedule after April) Valentina (apparently she had to do AS to do Canada vs The World which is coming up we could see her on both?!) They have asked a few for both Early Outs and "normal" All Stars, I am thinking they are gauging who's interested and what cast they might have for early outs to see if it's worth doing the season so they want to have the bigger/more obvious names (like Jaymes and Kasha) for sure so they want to have them available for both? I think Early Outs needs the more obvious/better names though to give the cast some oomph. I wonder if they could do the early outs thing as like a half/half season for S15 too, some people have speculated that, so the bigger/better names would be on All Stars and then say Kalorie or Dahlia could be on a second chance thing for S15? I want Aja back the most, genuinely I feel out of all these names, she could SO easily win an All Stars.
March 4, 20223 yr Some good names on there and ones which could be interesting for either early outs or an all stars series.
March 5, 20223 yr Author Of all of those queens, Aja feels like one who could win. I maintain that had she been treated fairly, she could have won AS3 and it would have been deserved.
March 6, 20223 yr Author Rita Baga has a gap in her schedule near the end of the month which is when Canada Vs The World is meant to film, so we could definitely be looking at her doing the show which I would have assumed tbf.
March 6, 20223 yr Drag Race is a franchise and isn't centralised so I'd rather have 'X vs The World' which clearly shows that particular edition's country of origin rather than 'RPDR: The World Edition', 'Drag Race International', 'Drag Queen of the World', etc. To me titles like 'Drag Race International: X Edition' wouldn't work as it will become oversaturated and will defeat the purpose of an international competition (of which there can only be one).
March 6, 20223 yr I can, however, imagine a show with 10-ish contestants and 10 different countries down the line, the way how fast this franchise is evolving and growing. That would be an incredible watch. Hopefully not hosted by Rupaul because there's more to drag than what we are used to looking at the Western queens. So far I only trust Rupaul to judge the US seasons and UK (the latter barely though :') ). Edited March 6, 20223 yr by Bdelita
March 6, 20223 yr Author I think it makes sense too, it gives each different franchise/host a time to shine so it isn't just Ru and Michelle, it passes the baton so each season feels distinct but it's still under the umbrella of one spin-off. Spain vs The World for example, you'd have Supremme hosting with its panel and that would have a different feel plus you can get Spanish speaking queens from across the franchise, that could include ones who struggled with language barrier. It also allows Spain, Holland, Canada and Thailand for example to have an All Stars even though they have only aired a season or two (I suppose Canada and Thailand could on their soon to be 3 series), they can have a few highlights and then grab WW queens for the rest. I thought when I heard it was called Vs The World that they'd be forcing/pushing the UK queens, and whilst Baga has definitely been favoured and protected, none of the 3 have been dominant characters throughout the series or forced to the forefront. I mean that's the least of UK Vs The World's problems
March 6, 20223 yr I guess that makes sense. But won't Ru try and invade and take over? That's my fear. Or US girls won't accept to be judged by e.g. Brooke or Nicky Doll.
March 6, 20223 yr Author Good, if the US girls don't accept! They have their own All Stars chance and I don't want seasons to be filled with queens on their third chance who already made the final tbh. Sometimes it might give my faves another chance like Mo, but eh in general I don't want Vs The World to be a case of casting strong queens who have already made the final in All Stars, as that kind of sews up one of the top few spots as belonging to them? Like if they cast say Detox or Shangela, they would easily make the final in pretty much any season right? I think Ru's schedule is full enough that he won't just take over, I mean there's UK, US and Aus, plus an All Stars in between, that's already 4 seasons a year, plus what if there's a UK All Stars, that makes 5, plus other projects! Also, in a move nobody expected - DeLa is rumoured for Canada Vs The World!! She said she'd do an international season and has the right gap in her schedule, I'd love it in one way but then her storyline with self-eliminating was so iconic and tied up her run on the show perfectly, it's not something that needs to be opened up.
March 7, 20223 yr I'm surprised at Adore being a v likely as I wouldn't have thought she'd return after what happened on AS2?!
March 7, 20223 yr I'm surprised at Adore being a v likely as I wouldn't have thought she'd return after what happened on AS2?! I'm sure I read on her Insta a few months ago (may have been a year :D) that she was going to be part of either AS5, or AS6 but she said that what she was going to do for the talent show was too risque (or something like that) and was vetoed and she didn't want to change it, so declined being on the series.
March 7, 20223 yr Author Yeah she was cast on AS6 and couldn't do the talent show she wanted (it was something to do with fire, icr if it was fire swallowing or like dancing with pyrotechnics or sth) but said she would like to return, apparently she has been asked every time since AS3 to come back and she felt in a better place for AS6 so was going to come back, whether they have ok'd her talent show or she's got another idea, I wouldn't be surprised to see her back.
