Sam had better not be leaving. I can’t see why Kim Medcalf would, she seems to be really enjoying herself.

It's going to be tough calling this one - but probs between Zack, Whitney and Lola

This is the second time she's mentioned going back to Spain.

This is what's making me think she could actually be going :(

I'd be absolutely gutted. Kim Medcalf is brilliant and she plays Sam with such depth.

Confirmed to be a temporary exit and she will be back later this year. I'd imagine this was always on the cards with a 12 month contract for Kim leaving the door open for a return so I'm glad it's not the last we will see of her

Since when did Phil Mitchell help Stacey? Stacey bashed him over the head in The Arches once.

If Phil had nothing to do with everyone who has bashed him across the head at least once he would be a hermit.
Had no idea who he was at all or that Sharon was engaged to him :kink: he's going to be conducting Albie's christening. I'm sure Keanu's reaction will be predictable as ever

I do love that EastEnders has such a rich history it can revisit like this. Mary the Punk and Lofty, for example, were two characters that felt so of their time and I thought we would never see again, but their guest appearances have just felt so right and really make you appreciate the soap genre.

Really enjoyed last night and tonight's episodes, I love how the Denise/Ravi affair storyline has not relied on predictable soap tropes and hasn't compromised Denise as a character. It would have been typical for the writing to have Denise try gaslight Amy and attempt to keep her quiet, but Denise as a character would never do that and it's so refreshing to see someone actually act in character.

Jack's face when she told him. Wide eyed.

The whole episode was gripping. I actual gasped twice.

I never thought she would actually be honest and tell him, so it was quite the surprise.

Love these episodes.

Brief spoilers for week beginning Monday 1 May, courtesy of the magazines:

- The day of Albie's christening dawns - will it all go to plan?

- Jay pushes himself as he tries to make memories with Lola...

- Denise comes up with a plan to try to win back her family!

- Coronation fever hits Walford - but how will Linda cope without Mick by her side, and can Alfie convince her the Square needs her?

EastEnders has announced that Cheryl Baker will make a guest appearance in the BBC One soap's upcoming Eurovision episode.

Cheryl shot to stardom back in 1981 when her group The Fizz (formerly known as Bucks Fizz) were crowned winners of the Eurovision Song Contest with 'Making Your Mind Up'.

In honour of the UK hosting the Eurovision next month for the first time since 1998, EastEnders will see Cheryl arrive in Walford to celebrate the occasion with the residents of Albert Square – though further details about her cameo are so far being kept under wraps.

A really really good week so far and tonight's episode was fantastic. Ellie Dadd has really come into the role as Amy now and just the way she felt knocked back at every given moment today to convince herself she was responsible for the rift between Jack and Denise was so heartbreaking to watch.

(Also love that Eurovision touch with Cheryl appearing soon)

The episodes have been great this week but the one part that didn’t work for me was Chelsea rejecting Amy tonight. I know she feels hurt and betrayed but she knows how vulnerable Amy is and I don’t but that she’s make her feel worse that way.

Kim back to blaming Denise again for the crash is quite frustrating. It might not have been her phone but no one was forcing her to be on it.

At least Howie saw through that and still expects her to accept responsibility for what she did. Whatever happened with Denise doesn't mean you can drive and look at your phone and I'm glad Kim isn't just getting away with it now everything's out in the open

Apparently Cheryl has auditioned for roles in EastEnders before but has never got the part.

When I first saw this reported, I thought she had got a proper role... but this guest spot will do.
