Tracking back I don't think Johnny has ever had a storyline beyond his coming out one? I don't even remember him being shot by Ted Murray :lol:. It's safe to say they can do whatever with him really as it'll be an improvement on before.

 

He didn’t, it’s why the original actor left. There was a brief moment where he failed to protect Sharon in an attack on the Albert but the. He was gone. In his second guise I don’t remember much at all. I think he had an inevitable one night stand with Ben and I know he got shot but I can’t really recall any of it.

 

The coming out storyline in hindsight wasn’t even about Johnny either. It was essentially a showcase of Danny Dyer playing against character and it was more about showing that off rather than the character of Johnny. It worked because it was a powerful scene that helped a lot of people. But then needing Linda to be homophobic to get more drama flies completely in the face of everything else. Linda is literally the gayest straight woman in existence and would surely have loved a gay son to watch musicals with. Whereas Mick’s character became all about ‘looking after’ the women on his life and telling his son to be more of a man. That very first storyline makes absolutely no sense now in hindsight.

Very fitting to have this episode on the anniversary today focusing on The Six. Possibly one of the best since it all happened at Christmas

I reckon one of the othera, like Stacey, has it. But at rhis point on, I reckon the floodgates open, ans they wills tart confisinf in more and more people, until someone overhears, or they trust Max and he and Atacey break up etc, and someone, or Jack, spills the beans.

Another nice who Dunnit twist and same as others as I think Stacey.

I’m annoyed there’s no Soap Awards this year cause Diane Parish is killing it atm and deserves to be awarded for it !

It would make sense if Dean has it and that way they could pin the murder on him as its more likely he will leave before any of the six.

I didn't know there was no soap awards this year which is a huge shame as I think it would be a great year for EastEnders, I agree Dianne Parish is killing it but for me Kellie Bright is still higher for me I think she is always on top form.

Another very solid episode again tonight, all sorts of reveals and twists cropping up now.

Tonight's viewing was so harrowing... Diane is playing this role to perfection

ITV cancelled them, as Corrie is flopping so badly :lol: BBC should just do their own, oe C4

Coronation Street if they went ahead would not have a great year.

That said, the panel last year did EastEnders over badly despite it having full public support.

There has to be a part of Danny thinking he left at the wrong time as the show is on top form now and he is probably thinking crap I should have stayed.

I'm not fussed either way if he returns or not but Kellie is thriving without him on the show.

Honestly though I think a lot of the uplift in the show is because he left. The show was obsessed with centering everything around him and even Janine’s comeback was all about him. I hope he never returns. I wish there’d been a body.

Saint Linda and Mick ruined the show and ruined Janine's character. The wholw point is she never pays for what she does. She comes in ,causes chaos, kills a husband, then leaves!!
