Why is Kat being written as a such a moron? Get out whilst you still can!

Honey stealing the show tho.

Not sure what the point of all that was if it wasn't going to result in Kat finally opening her eyes and ditching Phil! Absolutely no way would she stay after that. Makes me wonder where they could possibly go from here? Her and Alfie are obviously going to unite eventually, but what could make Kat leave if not her child being held at gunpoint? I'd like to think lessons were learned from killing of Dennis Jnr. so I hope to God they don't go down that route. I've seen suggestions that maybe Kat and Alfie are playing Phil or that Kat is covering for Tommy who actually shot Keeble, but I'm not convinced by either. Unless they want Phil to be the one to dump Kat, probably in the most humiliating way, because, you know, it's KING PHIL!

I did enjoy Honey giving Phil what for though. The contrast between the gangster crap and the scenes with Billy and his family was huge.

I'm kind of glad that's the end of the Keeble thing, it was starting to get a little dry. I don't know why but, I'm sure I've said before, the whole soap gangsta thing just doesn't seem to work anymore? It might've been great TV in the 90s and 00s but it doesn't feel representative anymore having a singular person (Phil) on the square solely focussed on that sort of thing, but then what more can they do with him other than revisit his sobriety (again )

Glad the rumours about Freddie weren't true, but I am looking forward to Jack hitting the roof when he finds out about Ricky and Lily; it should hopefully mean more scenes with Sam and Denise which would be a great dynamic.

I mean, we could have Phil develop and support another character that isn’t him (Lola, for example) and support in a way that isn’t training them to be a thug. I’m still really pissed at Kat’s decision last night. It doesn’t feel in character. I thought Clenshaw had only carried on with this Keeble plot to bring it to an end, even making up for its tackiness by running it alongside the Lily story but I honestly can’t see what the point of it all was when we’re back to square one.
Whilst I can definitely see Alfie backing off, I do think Kat will still return to him eventually. Phil has a way with words which she clearly can't ignore and just falls for it each time. I'm here to ship Linda and Alfie being a thing; I thought they were going to do it a couple of months back but it didn't happen.

The realistic ending would have been this as the final straw for Kat and her leaving Phil for her son ending up held prisoner at gunpoint due to his feud. I'm not particularly enamoured by the idea of her getting back with Alfie AGAIN but c'mon, it's not in character for her to stay with him after that. Maybe they could have then used Phil losing another family and almost getting another surrogate son figure killed, plus the first crime he was ever involved in coming back to haunt him in the first place, as inspiration for him to finally vow to leave all that stuff behind for good and realise he's getting too long in the tooth for it.

Also hope they don't go down the 'it was really Tommy who shot her' route, that kind of story has really been milked in soapland in recent years.

I do wonder how much longer Denise will put up with Jack's bullshit. I know they're writing him as trying to be the doting dad but at the expense of his marriage and relationship with Ricky too it can only go further downhill
Did not - even for a second - expect tonight's ending.

Same! I fully expected Zack to get the all clear but now I'm perched for where this goes. There's ramifications for Whitney, Sam, Nancy and I'm always here for more Sharon reactions

I saw it coming since they announced the story tbh. Clenshaw doesn’t seem to be one to mess around.

I think there would have still been a tale to tell if they had Zack getting the all clear. It could have shown that you can panic and worry and beat yourself up, but the only way to know for sure is to get tested and it won't always be the worst-case scenario.

However, I guess they wanted to take the lad-about-town who slept around and obviously didn't always use protection (even though it wasn't that which her contracted the virus from) and show what could be the result. The fact that he could have passed it on to others, including his unborn child.

And of course he can take medication and they can show that it's not the same as it was when Mark was HIV+ back in the 80s/90s.

I think it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

The nurse was so blunt though... I'm not sure that is quite the portrayal they should have gone with.

I think that's how it will play out as it can really show how times have changed.

That's Whitney in the clear then but I do think maybe Sam will test positive? Maybe it'll add some depth to the storyline if she gets tested and hides her result, not knowing that it will have been Zack.

I completely forgot about him and Janine until that shot of his phone screen came up, but I guess she's fine considering she's had tests in hospital already.

Quite the opposite, lots of things are being considered that aren’t normally.

Linda’s desire to sell the pub is understandable but if you actually watched the episode, she can’t sell because Mick isn’t officially dead. And because he isn’t officially dead, the pub is not Janine’s.

And a 12 year old not getting an abortion?! WTAF, EE?! They are TERRIFIED of showing abortions, or its writers/ producers are morally against them...
