I mean, as big a twist as that would be, i dont think it should happen? It’s a little ‘one step too far’ down that road and I can’t believe he’d ever take her back after everything, or why she’d have stayed away so long or anything?

thats the joys of an off screen death you have room to play with the storyline.

Let's just focus on bringing Ronnie and Roxy back ffs

Actually that would present similar issues and in fact be even worse.

I’m not saying it’s not feasible just that it doesn’t make any sense at this point in the story. And even if it did happen, why on Earth

would Ian take her back after everything? That is the bit that makes the least sense.

Cindy is dead. We've accepted Kathy. Another one is a step too far.

This exactly.

I'm here for the return - given we have no details of the storyline, plot or anything, i'll reserve judgement on if it works or not until its aired :D

At the moment I think its just its exciting and completely wtf.

EE is in a strong place at the moment

No way :o

I didn't start watching until late 1999 so never experienced them on screen but I'm sure it'll be a fiery return (if true)

Kathy's return worked but only when they got past the terrible excuse of why she disappeared and could make no contact. In this case its different as the character was always devious, Selfish and caniving which made her character so great, so the return could be a lot more believable and I'm guessing her return wouldn't be to dissimilar to that of last time she returned full time.

I never like it when they bring back "dead" characters. There's only so many times that people who live in the same vicinity can have amnesia/be in witness protection/be blackmailed etc (I'm not saying that all, if any, of these have happened in EastEnders, but you get my drift).

The presumed dead aspect of Mick Carter disappearing was obviously done to leave the door open for him, but in the case of a character being actual dead... they're dead.

EastEnders is riding a wave at the moment, so I don't think they need to bring back any dead character just to get ratings up or anything.

For now it's just a tabloid rumour. The articles about it don't have any concrete evidence, not even a hint of someone being spotted filming or their go to "spokesperson" suggesting anything.
Catching up on the last 2 episodes, sweet lord those episodes were a killer emotionally, the balance was spot with light heart and serious and the acting was spot on. I'm glad lola has decided not to end her own life. These episodes show when eastenders is on form it really can deliver which we saw and no doubt some highly emotional episodes on the way next week.

In regards to a

Cindy

, my main question is "why?" rather than "how?". What's the point? Two of her children are dead and the other two would require a recast. There's also the question of why would these two characters get back together, although I guess they could have rebonded over the death of two of their children? I just don't buy into any of it. I don't see any story beyond the initial shock of the return at all.

EastEnders should be bringing back Jane. The current Bobby has been on the show four years and not shared a scene with her (are they even meant to be in contact?). There's so much story opportunity there.

This has been my issue with it. Sure they can bring the character back but it should have happened 10 years ago when there was more scope for story. I get the feeling that this was a condition of

Adam Woodyatt

returning.

As for Jane, they messed up the exit and never resolved it. I still think she should have died instead of Steven because with the way the aftermath has been written, she may as well have done. I can’t even remember the last time she was mentioned.

Yeah I could see it being something he asked for. I'd be lying if I didn't say I've warmed to the idea though, the point does still stand that they need a good story to make the return worth it, but I'm prepared to see what they have in store. If anything, it'll be interesting to see

how Cindy responds to being around Bobby given he killed her daughter

. I've seen one theory that she's the mother to the new Knight children which would be quite the twist.

Happy to see

Lisa

set to return again, always a treat to see her.

We need these back from the dead: Mel, Hunter, Steven, Abby, Ronnie and Roxie. We do NOT need Mick back from the dead, as he is hinting :(

I am COMPLETELY here for Janine to come back, kill half the cast, which creates a porthole through which all of the above fall through from an alternate dimension. We can have one episode dedicated to the fantasy element of that, and then the show can go back to notmal with those characters. Just bring them all back in ludicrous ways! We just want them back; we don't care how. Mel died via a Birdbox storyline anyway, as she dared challenge Sharon!! Sharon and Phil split a couple months later, so her Sharon sacrifice was in vain.

A quick reminder that Mel didn't even WANT to leave...

Tamzin said she was “having a lovely time at EastEnders and “could have quite easily stayed for another five years” in an interview with Women’s Own.

And shr was killed off due to the writers pitting her against one of their faves - Sharon, Carters, Phil, that bad acror Sharon sometimes sleeps with, or Max or Jack Branning. Pathetic.
