Yep, another three big losses, I actually can't believe 'Dirty Diana' is out this early, biggest shock so far :o easily one of Jacko's best.

Aerosmith were formed in 1970 but didn't have a hit single in the UK until 1989. Written for the 1998 film, 'Armageddon', this song is still their only top 10 hit.

Walk this Way was 1986 and a top 10. That surely counts towards Aerosmith as well as Run DMC?

Sad to see Dirty Dianna out so early but can’t bear Savage Garden (from the last set).

Yes, 'Walk With Way' is very much an Aerosmith song - if anything, I'd associate it more with Aerosmith than with Run DMC.

Aerosmith are not credited as artists on that one so it didn't appear on the list of their hit singles that I was looking at. It seems that only Steve Tyler and Joe Perry contributed to that version of the song.
Aw no at DD dropping out, echoing that it's one of his best songs. 'Jar of Hearts' is beautiful, Aerosmith overplayed but still a classic rock song and 'Truly Madly Deeply' likewise. Do love me some Savage Garden in general and wouldn't put that as their best song.

'Dirty Diana' isn't quite one of my absolute fave MJ songs but it is great!

'Jar Of Hearts' has felt surprisingly avoidable in recent years, feel like it's actually been overshadowed a bit by 'A Thousand Years' despite having a higher peak.

'I Don't Want To Miss A Thing' is a classic of course. Gloriously OTT.

I loved the first 3 to drop out but have been less fussed about the others.

Truly Madly Deeply is too cheesy for me (though love To The Moon And Back). November Rain would have been a much better addition to the final. Ah well.

What list of singles are you looking at? They're credited on Polyhex and on the OCC, and even the single cover says "featuring Aerosmith"!

No massive favourites out so far and I'd say that bottom few is right (though Where the Streets Have No Name certainly doesn't deserve to be last!), though I do really enjoy the endlessly singalong I Don't Want to Miss a Thing & have a soft spot for Truly Madly Deeply as well.

Featuring a sample from Kate Bush's 'Cloudbusting', this was the second top 10 single for the Harrogate based duo. A remix took the song back to number 8 in 2008.

Together Again spent ten weeks in the top 10 and is Janet Jackson's best selling single in the UK with about 800,000 copies sold.

Out of all the 11 songs I had to listen to before voting due to not knowing/remembering them 'Together Again' was the one I recognised the most, turns out that is a song I know reasonably well but I guess never realised it was a Janet Jackson song. It's pretty good anyway although nothing mindblowing.

I slightly prefer the '08 version of 'Something Good' but it's a banger either way.

39. Seal - Kiss From A Rose / I'm Alive 1114pts

Writer - Seal

Top scores - Shoat 50, Jester 48, garyfeld 45

Low scores - vibe 3, Mark223 4, coi 4

Average score - 23.7

Kiss From A Rose was written by Seal in 1987 but as he didn't like it, he didn't present it to Trevor Horn until his second album was being recorded. It only got to number 20 in 1994 but was re-released the following year after being used on the soundtrack for the 'Batman Forever' film. That second release was a double A side with I'm Alive but I think it was Kiss From A Rose, which won three Grammy awards, that we were all voting for here.

OK songs but nothing extraordinary
The remix to 'Something Good' is much superior but the original is fine too. Like 'A Kiss From A Rose' as well and 'Together Again' is great too.

'Something Good' is... something good but not something amazing.

'Together Again' is a great song and fully deserves to be Janet's best selling UK single.

'Kiss From A Rose' is a gorgeous song, always loved the melody and the lyrics.
