Ooooh thanks Dandy, I ended up on their Bandcamp page earlier where signed was sold out, but you're right - it's there on their proper website  ordered! I'm happy with either pink or blue really so the signed aspect swayed me.

  • For those who have been craving new Working Men's Club (I know I have), they appear on the opening track of the new bdrmm album! I was planning to check it out anyway (the likes of 'John on the Ceilin

You may have already seen this @Jade but Syd is on the new Daniel Avery/Ghost Culture collaboration project Demise of Love. First single “Strange Little Consequence” is already out, there's a little

This had completely passed me by so thanks for sharing it Dr B. It’s very Working Men’s Club verses meets a New Order chorus being played at half speed, so naturally I love it on first listen

So I’m loving everything now. It’s a really consistent album, it feels like a more fully realised version of their debut. Perfect opening and closing tracks too

Also Jade I’m totally with you in the hippo campus preying mantis line, it really stands out

Ploys is possibly my least favourite thing on the album right now, not sold on it as a single at all

*.* I've had several album listens now and I look forward to that part coming around every time haha.

Today's earworm for me is 'Heart Attack' - the hook is really sticky!

Btw look what arrived:

 get those first week sales, not sure how likely it is to stay top 10 but it has already outsold their debut and should be good to outpeak nevertheless

I opened mine today also as we're back from holiday and give it a spin, it's absolutely silent and sounds great  But the packaging is particularly great, the sheen on the cover is just gorgeous - If I wasn't being good at the moment I'd be tempted to get the pink version as well

Got round to listening to it yesterday, would agree it's probably stronger overall than the debut from first impression, though as I've never been quite sold on either Circumference or Ploys it was a pleasant surprise

Yeah this is pretty much DoctorBlindcore in its references and musical touchstones. Loving it ofc! Had it on over breakfast this morning to give it a proper listen and I have to say my immediate favourites other than the singles were “Cut” and “Heart Attack” but it was a consistently good listen and I don't doubt these won't change over time- nothing quite bangs as hard as “Valleys” but that took a while to grow on me so I imagine the same will happen with these tracks and more esp from when I see them live.

Ha similar kind of covers although the Tribune mag has a gorgeous arty cover for each edition!

Two great mags!!

I heard most of this album while listening through one of Jade's personal charts the other week :kink: but given it a proper listen now including the two songs which Jade didn't chart - the title track and 'Money Is Mine' - and I actually really enjoyed both of those, especially the latter (the lyrics are a bit eek but it sounds great, loving the rave influence on both of those tracks). I think my overall fave on the album is '19' though, what an outstanding opener *.* loving 'Heart Attack' and 'Cut' too, those are easily the two earworms of the album. Sadly 'Rapture' is the one track on here that isn't really clicking with me quite as much as the rest though oops, not sure what is missing from it but it just doesn't quite hit for me.

('Circumference' was my favourite of the singles btw as I didn't post that yet!)

We now have a music video for 'Cut'!

this is your worst opinion in a while -_-

I forgot share my opinion on this. Love the Depeche Mode vibe their music has. A really decent album. I prefer the more funky and dancey stuff, 19 thus being my fave of the album tracks. Ploys has been a huge grower for me as well after not being crazy about it initially. I found myself going back to Errol Alkan rework a lot, but the original has been firmly on repeat for weeks now.
Glad that you are on board Kath. Yay! I thought “19” was a maybe bit more New Order than Depeche Mode - but love it all the same. “Cut” really still my absolute standout and so very pleased that it has been made a single. Going to see them tomorrow evening here in France - very hyped!!

Not sure if I'll forgive them for the omission of 'Widow' in their Glasto setlist :kink: otherwise back to obsessing over this album (and their debut) again

For those who have been craving new Working Men's Club (I know I have), they appear on the opening track of the new bdrmm album! I was planning to check it out anyway (the likes of 'John on the Ceiling' and 'Snares' are great) but it was a pleasant surprise to see their name popping up on 'goit', even if a fairly short intro track. Here's hoping for a new album era soon as it's been nearly three years since Fear Fear was released.
