I don't think it would kill discussion as people would speculate who's behind what similarly to genre forum song contests. I think it might also encourage people to step away from their signature sounds in an attempt to throw people off a bit just to make things a bit more interesting

Yeah I think that would be an interesting experiment!

I do always listen to the Spotify playlist at least a couple of times before matching to countries to try and eliminate any bias, but do often get the same people at the top of my rankings as I match the songs to countries and go "what a surprise Kath has sent this song that I really like"

I'd love to give it a go with this idea too!

Is it technically possible though with Google Forms or would we need to go back to the 'submit the entry via a message to the host'-way (like in the case of other forum contests)?

I'm not sure how the form works, but we could use it if the view of certain cells (the country name) is visible only to the host.

Google forms is fine. The host would need to see who sent what in order to reveal the country in the SF Results but also to share the Vetos

Procedurally, nothing would change. The host can either give everyone an alias, like I did in BJSC 29, or leave it all nameless.

This will be interesting of course! That being said, hope this is not done next edition as I pretty much hinted what my next entry will sound like so that defeats the purpose :kink:

So... Eastovka finally sent a song that didn't sound like a total no-hoper and it was not only their biggest hit by far but came within 10 points of winning. Just sayin
That and I could send something y'all don't expect!

I completely underestimate my own entry...

Hoping Yobnedorica (and Pukarnia, if they decide to do a comeback) to qualify before their 5th contest.

I think I’ve got a song for the next one which *should* do better…

It certainly hits more of the stereotypes for here anyway. Maybe not all… but better than the last one!

I know it's a cliché and all, but chasing hits never really works in the long turn. It's great to do well, but in my experience chasing the hit song became really draining very fast

My best performing songs are ones I still adore to this day as much as I used to when I sent them. I mean, I am underperforming big time these days, but I'll keep sending pop bangers till y'all decide to heal urselves and appreciate the art.

Take K3 for example. Never expected it to come top 10, let alone win. But it did cause somehow it connected due to the 90's pop throwback it gave. And I still twerk to it till this day.

P.s. I'm coming for that elusive 2nd win soon, so y'all better stop sleeping on Messhesi
