May 6, 20223 yr I'm glad she's serving something a little different than her usual pop sound — love this. Sunkissed and subtle. I think it is going to open up for people with more listens — much like Haim's 'Summer Girl'

May 6, 20223 yr I think it’s sublime  The production is impeccable, really warm & serene sounding. Carly’s airy vocals really complement that vibe. Despite the relaxed nature of this song, I still find it to be very melodic. Someone said this elsewhere and I agree. It’s easier to quote them: “enough of a through line in the writing and melodies to her best work whilst giving the whole thing the facelift it needed sonically at this point in her career”. After my first listen it evoked Warm Blood. I’m not saying they’re identical or even similar - it’s just little aspects, like certain vocals and occasional production flourishes. Then I found out that both songs share the same producer (Rostam)! Let me go out on a limb and say that I think this is already one of her very best songs. Maybe not everyone’s cup of tea but perhaps with time it’ll quietly present itself to fans who are not blown away (pun intended x). Gorgeous music video too.
May 6, 20223 yr absolutely gorgeous and in the vain of 'i don't hate california anymore' which is fab
May 6, 20223 yr Love this too  the visuals, the song, everything! Even though it's a new sound it's still got Carly's usual touches. Anything pure pop from Carly was always going to be compared to Emotion so I'm looking forward to her getting to experiment outside of that album's shadow a bit. Very excited to hear what else Carly and Rostam have come up with!
