Isn't there a video I can watch of these to save time?

Yes there is and here you go!

A quick note on double A-Sides- they are included if a promo was made for them (i'm taking that to mean there was a concerned effort to promote it as such) so that's why some are there and some aren't.

Again if a song peaked at No 1 in another decade then it won't be included here. The video embedded does NOT include all the tracks on the list (normally double a-sides they've missed)

Any votes for the "Birdie Song" will be discounted naturally....

Please let me know if there's anything on the list which shouldn't be there/ vice versa.

Looking forward to sorting this out some of my best songs of all time in that list.
I already know who's gonna be top of my list but need to do a thorough re-listen

yay

and can we give Agapoo negative points? :P for all the times I had to endure it (and the birdie song) at kids discos

I'll put my money on Madonna winning this, considering how predictable Buzzjackers are. :teresa:

Maybe if you don't vote :D people with terrible music taste abstain please hahaha :D

I’d be amazed if Madonna won this one. I’d imagine she may struggle to finish top 10, particularly given I don’t think there’s one option if hers that stands out massively above the others.

I can see at least 10 songs that are absolute classics that I’d expect to finish higher.

I’ve narrowed this list down to 34, there are a lot of classics but a lot of crap too, especially post 1985.

There’s a few here I’ve never heard, funny how a lot of huge hits either become classics or get rotation in some way on shop PAs or music channel retrospectives. But I’m not at all familiar with Hole In My Shoe, Full Metal Jacket or Da Da Da. But then having just listened to them, none are exactly Heart FM or Radio 2 fare

I voted earlier. Some absolute classics in here, particularly around the middle third of the decade.

I've also voted now. Quite a tussle for victory among my (amazing) top four. I adore and listen to all of them a lot.

Not the same depth of quality as the No.1s list though, understandably. I'll be very intrigued to see what ends up in the top 40 here, a lot will be obvious but there are a few songs that I think 'am I the only person that LOVES this track...let's see'. I suspect my top three will all do very well, but there is one particular choice high in my top ten that I expect won't do much at all.

So I have my 30 but yet to decide on the order- that was tough already
Voted! Wonder if anyone else will vote for my 1 pointer...

Ditto :o :D

I finally decided on my order and voted. My 30 pointer could have gone to any of my top 30 in all honesty.
