19. Dreams - 7.875

#19 is Dreams, a song which features on Kylie's 6th studio album "Impossible Princess". Written by Kylie, Steve Anderson and Dave Seaman, and produced by Brothers in Rhythm and lyrically deals with her wishes and the persistence of pushing boundaries and experimentation through her career. The song is also where the title of the album comes from & originally the track itself was titled 'Impossible Princess' during the album's early recording sessions where it was a Brothers in Rhythm project. The album sessions were extended as DeConstruction felt the material presented was not commercial enough and the said track was re-titled to simply 'Dreams'. The track made its tour debut during the 'KylieFever2002' & then again on the 'Showgirl' tour, which got cancelled due to Kylie's cancer diagnosis; it was later continued as the 'Homecoming Tour'.

This is an outstanding composition which closes the album perfectly, with stunning production and beautiful strings compliment the emotion and drama of this soaring epic. The lyrics perfectly sums up the path Kylie had taken over the course of her career, which makes this a rather unique yet superb number that thankfully got its time to shine on both her 'Fever' & 'Showgirl/Homconing' tours.

18. Shelby '68 - 7.875 (More high scores)

We have another tie but Shelby '68 edges out in front at #18 due to it getting a single higher score than 'Dreams'. The song is from Kylie's 14th studio album "Golden£ and features a recording of her father's 1968 Shelby GT 350 starting up and revving & it's title is also a reference to the year in which Kylie was born 1968. The song debuted at the 'Kylie Presents Golden' shows, alongside 9 other tracks from the album, and was also performed during the 'Golden' tour.

This track is a really nice listen & something that really grows on you with repeated listens as it burns deep into your mind and demonstrates Kylie’s ongoing ability to write and sing a down-tempo number that not many people would expect from her. Even at this stage in her career Kylie never fails to not only surprise you, but wow you at the same time. A firm yet surprising standout moment on a brilliant return to form album.

Shelby 68 is one of my faves from Golden.

If it had been recorded by Taylor Swift, it'd be huge. Kylie deserves so much more recognition for her songwriting. Stunning.

I think that could be said for a few kylie songs from both golden and disco, if released by more current artists a few of the songs would have been big hits plus she is generally overlooked for her song writing as most assume she doesnt write any of her own music.
Shelby 68 is a standout on Golden, love her vocal delivery and the lyrics….perfectly demonstrates her progression as an artist.

17. Enjoy Yourself - 7.916

At #17 and may come as a shock to some of you; Enjoy Yourself, which features on Kylie's 2nd studio album of the same title & was written & produced by Stock Aitken and Waterman. Lyrically the song's about letting go in life and enjoying everything you encounter, and not waiting to do what you want to do and chase your dreams. During the run of singles from this era and following the releases of the first 2 singles, Kylie handpicked the title track to be the 3rd single, but the choice was overruled by Pete Waterman and 'Never Too Late' was chosen as the 3rd single instead. The song has was first performed on the 'Enjoy Yourself Tour' in 1990, then again in both the 'Rhythm of Love' & 'Let's Get To It' Tours. Then wasn't performed again until 2012 on the 'Anti Tour'. It's most recent performance was on her 'Kiss Me Once Tour' in 2014 where it was used as an intro to the 'Dollhouse Medley'.

Easily one of Kylie's best recordings from her PWL days & yes could have easily worked as a single, I would have had it as a double a-side with 'Tears On My Pillow' (but that's just me). Well anyway love the thumping bass and continuous keyboard programmings that builds and builds throughout the chorus and infectious beats are just perfection. This perfectly sets up what's to come in future sound-wise from Kylie as it furthers her evolution as an artist. Just an all around fabulous number, I love it. Originally this was a lot higher, but a couple of low scores caused it to dip considerably, but at least it still managed a rather decent average of 7.9.
Enjoy yourself as a double a with tears on my pillow would have worked, I love never too late but would be with kylie herself and have had enjoy yourself as the third single.
Tears on My Pillow provided a very important Kylie Number 1 but songs such as Enjoy Yourself are so superior.
Enjoy yourself had so many single options but the film boosted tears on my pillow which without wouldnt have been a number 1 so even though it's not her best sing it worked well. Enjoy yourself as a song is just brilliant for me and the anti tour performance was just brilliant.

16. Too Far - 8.083

At #16 is the opening track to Kylie's 6th studio album "Impossible Princess" - Too Far. It was written and produced by Kylie, with additional production credits to Brothers in Rhythm. The song is a drum and bass song where Kylie describes her anger and frustration through its lyrics. The song was critically acclaimed by music critics & was one of the many choices to be the album's lead single, along with 'Jump' & 'Limbo', but in the end 'Some Kind of Bliss' was chosen. The track was again set to go as the album's 4th single with remixes already commissioned, but all plans were cancelled in order to release the "Mixes" album instead and terminate Kylie's contract with DeCon. A remix of the track was released as a promo to promote that album.

Definitely one of Kylie's greatest and most interesting numbers of her career; this was where indieKylie took full form, with Kylie's deep dark vocals, crisp backbeats, haunting piano progression & trip hop beats pulsating throughout, creating something very intense and frenetic in tone & then there's Kylie's spit-fire delivery on the verses which adds to the overly dramatic tone of the number. This worked wonderfully as the album opener as it really represents the album beautifully (far better than 'Some Kind of Bliss' did). This track on the whole is epic in scope & really should have been the lead single (in my opinion).
Have to agree about Too Far being more representative of the album that SKOB. But I think my choice would have been Did It Again or Breathe for lead single.
