Disco down is as good today as it was when we got light years, ya i always found it strange it wasn't performed on tour but that was bias on my side as it was among the album highlights for me but the anti tour performance made up for it. Also agree about limbo but i think the big problem outside the waning interest in kylie was de con really didn't know how to handle IP at all and like you said if they had more faith in the album things may possible have been different.

From another galaxy like Jupiter and Mars

6. Supernova - 8.625

At #6 is Supernova, which features on Kylie's 15th & most recent studio album"Disco". Co-written by Kylie and Maegan Cottone, alongside its producer Sky Adams. Kylie revealed the track title on her YouTube community page, where she also shared cover art to go with it. One of the song's writers Sky Adams has a baby boy called Jupiter & wanted to work his name into the lyrics. Kylie included the song in the set-list for her one-off live stream concert 'Infinite Disco' to promote the then upcoming album's release.

A storming anthem of a track with galatic retro beats, soaring harmonies & well placed strong and commanding vocals. From the opening vocoder sounds you can tell that this was gonna be an instant classic. Pumping verses that leads straight into a wicked chorus, this was an instant firm highlight on 'Disco' for me. Briillant track all-round.

No one else has made me feel like a butterfly

5. Butterfly - 8.625 (More High Scores)

At the #5 spot is Butterfly, which features on Kylie's 7th studio album "Light Years". The song was written by Kylie & Steve Anderson and was produced by DJ Mark Picchiotti. It was released as the album's first promo single in Sping 2000 in the UK as a test pressing to gauge DJ reaction to Kylie's new material. The track had initally been considered for the album's lead single along with 'Your Disco Needs You', but 'Spinning Around' was chosen, 'Butterfly' was then in the running to be the 4th single, but due to its strong club influences it was pulled in favour of the radio-friendly Please Stay. However Mark Pichotti remixed the track and issued it in the United States through his own Blue2 label (a division of Blueplate Records). The song was a success on the US Dance charts where it reached #14 & was later added to the American edition of 'Fever' as a hidden bonus track.

I think its safe to say this yes like I've said many times on this countdown that - this SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SINGLE!!, but Kylie just has so many countless gems in her discography, its easy to imagine that most of these could have added a few more extra smash hits to her already stellar discography. 'Butterfly' is a glorious offering, a high octane club banger that is full of life and vitality and definitely one for the clubs & yet catchy enough to please the pop audience. Even the remixes to this are stellar & really adds to the euphoric joy of this amazing number.
Butterfly is great and was great on the tour, it had great staging, another light years track that I also prefer to the actual singles themselves.

Want you in the worst way
It ain't even your birthday

4. Dance Floor Darling - 8.875

At #4 is Dance Floor Darling, which is featured on Kylie's 15th studio album "Disco". Kylie teased the title of the song, changing the cover image of her Infinite Disco playlist on Spotify to bear the title. The song was co-written by Kylie, Maegan Cottone and its producer Sky Adams. In April 2021 the song was released in a slightly edited radio mix as a promotional radio single & was promoted through various forms of social media, such as Twitter & TikTok, where she posted multiple videos of fans using the song in their creations. Furthermore there were video clips of Kylie dancing along to the song in various outfits. The song was also part of her 'Infinite Disco' setlist which itself was used to promote the album.

There's a certain sparkle and magical quality to this high-camp number, with funky electric guitars and Kylie's slick vocals make for an amazing record and if that wasn't enough towards the end the synth tempos speeds up to a 100mph for no apparent reason & it not only totally works, but becomes even more brilliant. One of the many prime cuts from Kylie's 'Disco' album that could have easily made for a great 4th proper single, imagine what a music video could have looked like. This is certainly far better than the MEH new songs on the 'Guest List' edition.

We are down to the final 3 from 2 albums 'Light Years' & 'X', but which will come out on top, stay tuned to find out?

I know it's a contentious issue, but in my mind 'Dance Floor Darling' is a single.

It's the absolute shining highlight on Disco for me. When I first played the album, that was the one song I kept going back to over and over again.

Ya in my head it's a single aswell,, always liked it but it wasnt a stand out on disco initially. For me celebrate you was the huge stand out and still is for me.
