April 29, 20224 yr Author 13 | | 1st week Ed Sheeran featuring Lil Baby 2step 6th single from = Released: 29th October 2021 / 22nd April 2022 Label: Asylum Records UK Chart Statistics NE (05/05/2022) | 13 Sales: 50k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 70 Sales 24 Audio Streaming __ Video Streaming Video Z_MvkyuOJgk Biography There’s a lovely moment a little ways into Apple Music’s Songwriter documentary about Ed Sheeran in which Sheeran, jet-lagged and carrying a cup of tea, straggles out into a yard in Malibu at dawn, sits down at his laptop and begins writing a song about the moment right in front of him: the crisp air, the birdsong, the hot tea, the day ahead. He gets a full verse in, melody and all, then pauses. “Songs are weird things,” he says. “How so?” an interviewer asks. “They just come and go,” Sheeran says, smiling. “And they never give you any warning.” For Sheeran, they seem to come pretty reliably. Born in 1991 in Halifax, England, he started out gigging on the UK pub circuit before releasing his first studio album, +, in 2011, and has since become one of the most unstoppable singer-songwriters in music, forging a light blend of folk, pop, hip-hop and dance that feels slick but lived-in, intimate but universal. Whether on his own (“Sing”, “The A Team”, “Shape of You”, “Perfect”) or in collaboration with artists from Taylor Swift to Eminem to Justin Bieber, Sheeran has a unique ability to strike a chord that feels both bittersweet and redemptive, good-natured and genuine: the hopeless romantic who convinces you he might just be right. In 2017, he was made a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, touching Prince Charles on the arm while shaking his hand—a breach of royal protocol, and an appealingly human one at that. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Ed Sheeran 2011 03 The A Team -1- MILLION SELLER 2011 35 Hush Little Baby (Wretch 32 feat. April 29, 20224 yr Author 12 | 40 | 6th week Potter Payper featuring Tiggs Da Author Gangsteritus 4th single from Thanks For Waiting Released: 1st October 2021 Label: 0207 Records Chart Statistics NE (31/03/2022) | 56-23-25-31-40-12 Sales: 90k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio __ Sales 28 Audio Streaming 62 Video Streaming Video WWDhMRw6RVA Biography A lyricist through-and-through and staple of the U.K. underground, rapper Potter Payper built his career on candid reflections of the environment he was raised in. His sophomore mixtape, Training Day, took on an iconic role in the U.K. rap scene, compiling a cohesive and compelling collection of street-level narratives. Potter Payper (real name Jamel Bousbaa) was born and raised on the Gascoigne Estate in Barking, England, to an Algerian father and Irish mother. Though constantly embroiled in high-stakes street environment he found himself in, Payper worked on music in order to turn things around for himself and his family, so he began to develop his rap skills. His now-iconic lyricism and compelling wordplay were first showcased on his debut mixtape The Philosopher's Chrome, before the rapper caught the ears of the U.K. at large with his BL@CKBOX freestyle. His sophomore mixtape, Training Day, arrived in July 2013; often lauded as a modern classic of the U.K. rap scene, the project established the rapper's signature style, a blend of boisterous vocals, street narratives, and evocative production. In 2015, Payper dropped a third independent mixtape and an EP; while 24 saw him progress into the dominant sounds of trap, One Time (released via Grimey Limey) provided a more traditional seven-track set. The long-awaited sequel to Training Day arrived in 2016 with Training Day 2, which followed the first album's lyrical directions and classic-sounding beats. In 2018 the rapper's musical ambitions were cut short by a jail sentence: After releasing the mixtape Regina vs. Jamel Bousbaa, he found himself incarcerated while working on his sixth set, Real Back in Style. After his 2020 release, the rapper embarked on a period of immense productivity and success. Kicking off the year with the 2020 Vision EP, he returned to the game in full force, delivering a brutal freestyle for Daily Duppy later that year. The long-awaited Training Day 3 arrived in September 2020: modernizing the iconic approach of the previous two tapes, TD3 was the rapper's biggest success to date, landing a third spot placement on the U.K. charts. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History Potter Payper 2020 41 2020 Vision Freestyle -1- 2020 64 Purpose -2- 2020 79 Science -1- 2020 100 Slumdog Millionaire -3- 2021 60 Topshottas Freestyle -NAS- 2021 70 Catch Up (feat.
