May 1, 20223 yr To me this was a bit of a 'Britney at the VMAs 07' kind of performance.. it was just low-key a confirmation of how much of a caricature of herself Madge is nowadays. I almost can't believe what the razor-sharp, 40-year strong performer she was until not long ago ago has turned into =( it was painful to watch tbh, and I love Madonna/always hope to see her rise again.
May 1, 20223 yr Author I watched ‘Music’ and she’s just so half-arsed and sloppy, it’s really quite sad to see. Like you say Alberto, she’s always been an incredible performer and an absolute perfectionist. I just don’t recognise her on stage anymore.
May 1, 20223 yr She lacked the energy judging by the clips on Twitter, but don't think she's worse than most of the performers these days. It was a guest spot, not really her own concert.
May 2, 20223 yr I've now watched this (full performance is on YouTube) and I thought Medellin was good. I've always liked the song and she did okay with dancing and all that too. I'd love to defend Music, but I can't. It wasn't her coming in too early, that's nothing. It was the cringy dreadful dancing. The unsureness throughout. She appeared breathless. She didn't seem to know what to do at the end with when to climb onto Maluma. It was bad. There is defo chemistry between her and Maluma, but he seems to guide her around somehow.
May 2, 20223 yr I agree that Medellin was the strong one. It's such a great song built on the chemistry between the two. Music was a state. Her starting early meant it was never going to recover, and then messing up elsewhere too ugh.

May 4, 20223 yr Author Watched the full performance in the video above... 'Medellin' was at least better, I guess, but still not up to scratch. It did remind me what an unconventional bop it is though.
