Their biggest hits have been almost entirely because of TikTok, these last two singles haven't made anything close to the same level of impact there as far as I'm aware so of course they're not going to have done as well. And 'SUPERMODEL' has still done pretty decently anyway.

 

I've said all along that it's very unlikely they'd be able to maintain the level of success of those big TikTok hits, I think it's fairly impressive that they've managed to continue making the chart with new releases at all, that's more than you can say about a lot of 'TikTok hit' artists.

Indeed, and I’m sure they’ll have strong album sales whenever that comes out.

but now they have Max Martin on board, the quality of the songs should be higher and help them get a hit without tiktok

I’m not sure the quality of this song is higher though. It’s decent sure, but so is lots of their past music.

 

If anything, Max Martin’s production hasn’t helped the song. When the song released lots of comments on their socials were complaining it’s not as “rock” as their past music.

I think you'd find it hard to find a Måneskin fan who thinks 'MAMMAMIA' and 'SUPERMODEL' are higher quality than their older songs from what I've seen :P

 

(Although tbf their biggest hit is also not exactly a fanbase favourite)
