May 13, 20224 yr Author 'Don't Forget My Love' breaking the record (since 2012 at least) for longest run on the B-list with 9 weeks! I genuinely have no idea why they didn't just A-list it weeks ago. I don't care for any of the new adds this week except for Leah Kate which I'm starting to quite enjoy :) Two songs called 'Die Hard' on the playlist (if you include Kendrick), anyone have that on their 2022 bingo card?

May 13, 20224 yr Why Wet Leg? It’s one of the only commercial stations supporting them, get rid of the trash from Joel Corry as I’m sure Capital are playing it every hour anyway and it flopped chart wise!

May 13, 20224 yr 'Die Hard' does appear to be the song being pushed from the Kendrick album in the UK (although 'N95' is getting the big push on Today's Top Hits and the worldwide New Music Friday) so assuming that'll probably take the slot next week unless a different track takes a life of its own, cool to see him getting the 'tracks from album' treatment though. Glad to see the other 'Die Hard' added this week (or should I say just 'Hard' since the R1 edit blanks out the word 'die' lol, or at least it did when I heard it on there last week), 'Finesse' is also a good add although quite late. And yay for Lorde moving up.
May 13, 20224 yr you understand things very well, the #1 role of Radio 1 is to make hits lol Since when? Definitely not in the past decade anyway. They're relatively slow at picking things up unless it's from a big artist. They're always about championing new music and upcoming artists, they do not care about their playlists impact on the charts. Kendrick Lamar's album is also the Tune of the Weekend.

Die Hard - 4 plays Father Time - 4 plays Purple Hearts - 2 plays They seem to only be playing these and The Heart V if you wish to count it. The above is just daytime playlist rotation before anyone comes for me for not including night time / specialist which isn't the actual playlist here

May 18, 20224 yr I was reliably informed that they did play both 'United In Grief' and 'N95' on the First Look chart - was hoping 'N95' at least might get some spot plays elsewhere on the station.
