wonder if auntie diaries is one of his 3 tracks here this week. its for sure the most controversial ones so wouldn't be surprised to see it in the top 5

It won't be, it's one of his lowest on streaming.

I echo that post :o

2 Cat Burns - Go

1 Harry Styles - As It Was

Cat Burns and her breakthrough hit Go could mount a challenge to Harry Styles claiming Number 1 for a seventh week. Less than 2,000 chart sales separate Go, currently at Number 2, and As It Was.

Following the debut of his long-awaited new album Mr Morale & The Big Steppers, Kendrick Lamar aims for three new entries in the Top 10; United In Grief (3), N95 (4) and Die Hard (6).

In reaction to the UK’s second place finish at Eurovision last night, Sam Ryder’s SPACE MAN is aiming to shoot straight into the Top 10 at Number 8. It would be the first UK Eurovision entry to crack the Top 10 since Scooch in 2007.

Emo rockers My Chemical Romance returned with a surprise relesse Foundations of Decay, which is heading for a Number 14 debut.

Tion Wayne and La Roux also aim high with IFTK, currently tracking to enter the Top 20 at Number 18.

Following his second place finish at the Eurovision Song Contest last night, Sam Ryder is set to soar into the UK Top 10 for the first time this Friday with SPACE MAN.

In what proved to be a nail-biting finish, the UK - who had been leading at the top of the leaderboard with the jury votes - lost out to Ukraine's entry the Kalush Orchestra who surged to victory with a staggering 631 points for the song Stefania.

SPACE MAN gained 466 points through both the jury and public votes - the highest score the UK has ever seen in the competition, and our highest placing since Imaani also finished in the runner-up position with Where Are You? in 1998.

And Sam's success is also going to pay off on the UK's Official Charts. In our mid-week First Look Update, SPACE MAN is tracking to rocket into the UK Top 10, currently at Number 8. It would be both Sam's first Top 10 in the UK, and the first UK Eurovision entry to enter the Top 10 since Scooch's Flying The Flag (For You) in 2007.

What's even more exciting is that today's mid-week chart position doesn't take into account any streaming numbers SPACE MAN may have gained since Eurovision - so expect the song to rise further, into the Top 5 and maybe even challenging for Number 1 later this week!

Sam's success at Eurovision also helps to buck the trend for a series of disappointing results for the UK at the contest, culminating in a rare nul points finish last year for 2021 entrant James Newman.

SPACE MAN had a unique journey to the Eurovision stage too; it was part of a new hybrid-experiment where music management firm TaP (who helped mastermind the careers of Dua Lipa and Lana Del Rey) helped pick the song and artist to represent the UK.

TikTok has been instrumental to Sam's rise; he's the most successful British musician on the social media platform and following a series of viral cover videos during lockdown, signed a major label deal with Parlophone.

wow cat only 2000 sales behind harry is shocking to see! was not expecting her to have a chance to knock him off (ik sam ryder is coming forn them both)
I’d rather Harry gained another week at the top. Cat is only at #2 because of the Russ Millions remix

Which still count for the charts...

Sam #8 already is great to see, surely nearly a lock for top 5 at this point - I don't think he'll quite be challenging for #1 though.

Great to see 'United In Grief' and 'N95' both top 5 for First Look <3

This week's top 40 (possibly top 20) coming to have new entries for both La Roux and Amanda Reifer (the lead singer of Cover Drive). Exactly as we all expected.
