  • was thinking that unlike many artists, I love the Kate covers others have done really love the Futureheads cover of Hounds of Love, and the Placebo cover of Running up that Hill is good too

  • Wasn't sure where to post this but the wonderful 'Experiment IV' is back on streaming services along with 10 other tracks here, yay!

  • Wonderful track <3 I like the 12" mix even more, in fact I could have sworn it was on spotify not so long back, a shame it has been removed. I'm not sure I can get on board with this new version

a Kate Rate would be a lot of 10's and 9's and 8's 🙂

This Woman's Work, Hounds Of Love or Running Up That Hill, but guilty pleasures Sat In Your Lap and Ken. I love 'em! If Ken isnt on Spotify I'm appalled. I was there when my Uni room-mate opined of Wuthering Heights (we'd both just bought it) on Top Of The Pops, "she'll struggle to follow that up!", and my opinion was nah she wouldnt. 😇

My favourite would be Cloudbusting.

In other Kate Bush news, I saw yesterday that Don't Give Up, with Peter Gabriel, has topped a list in The Guardian of the best pop duets and so it should, it's my favourite duet as well. You can see the top 20 here:

Some crackers on that list - Prince and Sheena ❤️

Just had a look and I'm torn:

OTOH it's got some classics, and fab to see Glen & Bobbie on the list, Pet Shop Boys at 2 with Dusty, Some Velvet Morning high (It's pure genius and my number 2) despite flopping everywhere, Nick & Kylie, and Roberta & Donny getting some recognition (about time) along with soul classics like Private Number, and Prince/Sheena. But. I can't take seriously any list of duets that doesnt even mention the greatest vocal performance of all-time from the Righteous Brothers, presumably on the grounds that they are an act not a duet. But it is a duet between two people in the same group - You've Lost That Loving Feeling. It's not a group singalong, it's a duet between two amazing singers. There's no difference beween that and Under Pressure in any real sense.

It's not my favourite song (I can't choose one) but the last time I was listening to The Red Shoes album, I finally got 'Big Stripey Lie'. It was a beautiful moment. 🥲

I love that album btw!
