Bit worried about this album. I don’t think 10 out of 10 is very good and padam padam is just poop. I loved disco and golden and not sure I will like this but we’ll see.

I wouldn't worry. There will be something for everyone and remixes and surprises.......

 

She will do just fine

The artwork is looking promising to me even if it is giving fan-made a bit - very summery late night vibes and the new Kylie logo feels very Fever. Even that 'break the tension' phrase from the announcement post feels kinda 'feel the fever'-y. I didn't particularly like 10 Out Of 10 so hoping that's not where the rest of the album is headed, but I'm still quietly optimistic for now.

The album covers should stand out nicely in HMV!

 

We have a 4 month wait for the album. I remember they said for streaming purposes to release new stuff every 4 weeks, I guess to boost the monthly listeners numbers constantly etc.

Looks like most of the album is leaking in low quality.

Absolute mess though tbh - we’re 4.5 months from release and it’s already leaked, really poor form from BMG.

It's about the same as for 'Golden' and 'Disco', no?

I am guessing it is because they have content, surprises, features, remixes, promo, residency??? To fill the 4 months over summer.

 

They don't do these things for no reason, Kylie campaigns are usually well structured........

 

Look at how the albums have bombed after 1 week recently. 3 of last weeks top 10 including the number 1 are not in the top 200 a week later. Jessie down to 68 after 1 week.

 

Somehow Kylie and BMG need to work on getting these songs on playlists to help longevity!!

 

They also want a number 1 album so if there is a big album before 22nd Sept they are worried about etc..... or it is leading to Tour announcements etc....

 

Wouldn't worry too much, and no one except Kylie fans will listen to cheap low quality leaks.

The situation isn't too dire yet - bar Padam Padam in LQ, only clips have leaked of title track Tension, and Things We Do for Love. Piano and Drum are LQ full leaks, but are outtakes.
It is not the end of the leaks though probably. Poor Kylie! Again, even with the full album leaked even in HQ you can still go around it, but it will be very frustrating and they will still lose sales / streams.

Perhaps, but on the other hand, the leaks happened for a reason - the announcement was at least likely sent out and someone broke the embargo early (I wouldn't want to be in that persons shoes).

 

I do think the plan was however always to release the album information early (obviously not the LQ leaks) since their entire strategy hinges on making sure to have a lot of pre-orders with a lot of different formats. I think we'll probably have various formats rolled out during the next few months as pre-orders fill up.
