Will Olivia even be #1 on the first week, this era for her so far has underperformed. Kylie has loyals that will snap up anything and everything, BMG are ready.

Not sure how vampire with its 6 weeks top 5, four of which at #2, has underperformed, it's been a big hit and she's on her way to a second top 10 hit already this era. That is not an underperformance and I fully expect Olivia's album to be big on arrival.

Hi my hun

Does he have another one out? He only just released one in May.

Just Carol Honey ❤️

I cant see Ed Sheeran releasing another album this year apart from a deluxe of his current album which probably would get a November release.
A number of articles floating around today saying his new album is ready to go and will be out in the coming weeks
Given that ‘-‘ underperformed, with little gap between his albums, Ed having a passion towards the charts and ‘Tension’ driven not only by her fanbase, but also by a big hit — I don’t think Ed will put out the album on the same date as Kylie. It’s more likely a big USA rap name releasing on that date, but it won’t manage to gain enough streams in the UK, and Kylie never has a chance of a number one album in the USA anyway.

I like Ed and personally i think its to soon for another album, i think he should try pushing his current album before releasing another, if he does either i hope it doesnt have a release clash with Kylie as i really want Kylie to get her 9th number 1 UK album.

For her it is, in comparison to Sour. I mean of course I'm not saying it ain't insane success, just compared to what came before that's all.

It feels like he never gives us a break :arrr:

FFS. Take a holiday or something.

Honestly this

I actually like Ed but it feels it’s non-stop albums and 99p signed singles.

Yeah I was low-key thinking that Kylie could end up beating Ed in a chart battle anyway! I don’t think any other big artist will be releasing the same day as Kylie, I think the chart battle with Little Mix last time proved Kylie is too strong a force to be reckoned with.

Kylie has proved she a force to be recokoned with on first week sales, which as you mentioned was seen with the Little Mix battle, hopefully Tension will get the sales we are expecting so its likely artists chasing a number 1 album may avoid a battle with her. Im also sure BMG and Kylie want another number 1 aswell and could move the release if someone like Ed Sheeran was to announce they are releasing the same day. I think if Ed does have new material coming he will have something much more commercial. Ed likes his chart success ( and i don't knock him for it at all) and i have no doubt he will be very disappointed with sales of his current album and will want to reverse the decline with his next release.

Olivia’s current era can be framed in another way though: the 2nd single from SOUR (Deja Vu) entered at #27 and didn’t reach the Top 5 until its 8th week. The second single from GUTS (bad idea right?) is midweek #5 in its opening week.

GUTS is bound to be another big era for Olivia! I would be so shocked if it doesn’t get to #1 in its first week.

No need for Smiley Kylie to worry that Olivia will do better in her third week than Kylie in her first week though. :kink: But will GUTS be higher in the charts than Tension’s third, fourth week etc? I guess so.

I think we may see a few BMG tricks to keep Tension having a little longevity up to Xmas, especially for instance if they don't need to release cassettes in week 1 to get her to number 1.

I always think to hold back the deluxe and not release it at the same time as the standard edition. Release the deluxe at a later stage but offer more on it.

Tell me about it. He, ella and Becky Hill. At least the ladies are tolerable.

I think Ella and Becky need to keep the releases coming as they have havnt hit the big time like Ed has. I think if ed is releasing anything it should be a greatest hits and he should take time away and come back recharged and refreshed. I genuinely think now is the right time for him to release some form of hits collection but if he does, he better not release the same week as Kylie.
