I wonder whether BMG/Townsend will go with the "digital bonus albums" tactic for Tension? :thinking:

 

Steps, Claire Richards & Louise have all released two extra digital albums during release week. They are exclusive to their official artist stores, and for the most part it's bonus remixes/versions. It's helped give their albums boosts in the midweeks.

 

The concept started with Steps - What the Future Holds album in November 2020, which was 3 weeks after Disco's release. So while there's no previous precedent of Kylie doing this, maybe it'll happen for Tension?

They may save some of these tactics for future weeks? Then again i said that about casssettes and they went and released them on 22nd with everything else!

Speaking of cassettes, the bundle isn't available anymore - not sure when it went, but I noticed yesterday it wasn't there. The 4 of them are still available individually though.

No, the blurb says it’s a ‘Money Can’t Buy/Private Event’ for ballot winners only.

I was reading earlier that the entire album leaked? Is that right - leaks are not something I take too much interest in and I have some of the tracks (but not played them) but I didn’t think the whole album had leaked *.*

Hopefully it won't do damage. With tension looking to do fairly ok it's realky setting the album up to really pick up some good streaming, all going well tension can be at least a moderate hit and the 3rd single can muster up some success and it might just help the album have a nice steady chart run.

All look great apart from the grey one which I'm not hugely keen on.

Yeah it doesn't look as good to me as it does in the mock up, but then again it might be the quality/lighting of the photo and look better in reality.

 

It's the only variant that's a gatefold though so I still want it!

But I prefer the Tension artwork so far much more than Disco.

Tension >>> the Willam cosplay of Disco for me quite easily.

I hope it looks better in real life because the printing looks so shoddy in the picture.

So Diddy is the global icon for VMA, so looks like Kylie will completely miss out with that. Shame! More time to spend in the UK though I guess

I always hated the card sleeve cassettes and im the same with cd i much prefer them in their hard plastic cases as its easier to keep the product in better condition. I wouldnt mind a USB version released as id prefer that over a cassette.
