Can i just check. I see Kylie was at Capital Radio and then Kiss FM radio HQ yesterday. Have i missed interviews etc or has she pre-recorded things with them?

The streaming numbers once again demonstrate how hard it is to achieve significant numbers on Spotify…unless you’re Taylor Swift etc…it’s so competitive…yes more people stream, there’s more users, but there’s also constant new music being added.

 

It’s not a given numbers will just go up album to album similar to the market.

 

Let’s hope long term her streaming stays decent and all the Tension tracks achieve good numbers with the biggest tracks really standing out, obviously we already see that with Padam.

I really don’t know why Spotify streaming hasn’t really took off, especially when we see it’s possible to do so and we had 9 songs top-200 on Apple and numerous songs charting there worldwide.

 

I wish Apple Music were releasing their streaming numbers!

^^ I think it just highlights that a hit singles doesn’t translate into a massive increase in streaming numbers for albums, so many artists seem to experience this.

 

Also I’ve seen so many posts of people spinning their vinyl or saying how much better the CD sound quality is etc., so that doesn’t help when you have a physical playing fanbase :drama:

One reason for the relatively disappointing album streams could be that all the key tracks are early in the tracklist.

Yep Kylie fans would rather play their vinyl and Cds rather than stream. I guess they paid for that right and that's cool.

 

Amazon Music been very quiet too. Its the 17th most popular album on that platform in the UK

 

I wonder if she will have another big promo week on week 2 before she heads back to the states .

 

She will have G Norton on Friday. She did something with Gaby Rodlyn for BBC too. Maybe some Capital and Kiss FM interviews

 

Surely something Tension wise will come out Friday on itunes.

 

Ps. I think Hold on to Now will hold its top 100 place officially now. Its being streamed enough I think

 

The only thing I don't like about Vegas High is the title with Vegas in it. Not a fan of place name songs, though I fully understand its to do with her residency

I think BMG will be thrilled with the streaming numbers, she's increased each era and this one has been a huge growth.

I think it's simply down to Apple showing her greater support than Spotify do, and that's pretty much been the case emphatically this era?

She also did a Q&A with Deezer which I haven't seen yet?

Signed black vinyl (ok signed print) and signed deluxe well and truly snatched! I already have the signed standard though that had a signed card, this one just says signed. Must say she spoiled us with Disco and the signed Blue Vinyl with signed art card. Anyway this MORE than makes up for the additional postage costs!

 

I’m going to pass on the cassettes this time, unless they’re reduced or signed.

I wasnt sure if the CD itself was signed or if it was a signed insert again so just grabbed it, so I may now have 2 in total with signed card inside. I hope not. 😂

The long book version is the rarest one of the CDs. I know on other sites they've wanted it back so I'm happy for them. It's sold out now btw
