Anyway - she's was great at the Graham Norton show tonight. Watch out for her little dance to Mawaan Rizwan's I Got A New Walk - very funny!

I can't wait. Hope she got enough screen time and hope they spoke more about Tension and her legacy and not the same old freakin "what does Padam mean" or Tiktok + Charlene.

I think Disco’s sales were hugely inflated cause her fans were SCARED of Little Mix beating her last time. I think Tension will have a much stronger chart run.

 

Exactly, agreed. I absolutely think it will have greater total sales than Disco, the streaming is stronger and it's had 3 songs that have charted (maybe best not to speak too soon!) in the same week without needing a physical boost which I think shows greater interest.

But these are "higher album sales", she'll be 5th biggest opening week -

TOTALLY OT and I'm not trying to be mean or anything..... but I'm just constantly surprised that Lana sells so much even in this day and age. Does she have such a big ardent fan following? I didn't know Guts sold 60K...for some reason I thought she was 50K'ish.

 

One thing I'm hearing about Tension is that the label hasn't discounted it. Good in a sense that the label is trying make money, but that probably cost her a few more 1000 sales. Week 2 will be interesting. I'm not keeping my hopes up that Audience With or Vegas show publicity will raise her sales in the UK come Nov/Dec, unless it came close on the release of the album like it did for Adele's last.

There was a little bit of everything - if you've seen most of her recent interviews you'll know all she talked about (her recording her own vocals, Padam going viral, etc) but it's still joyous and she was the main guest of the night. Also great interaction with the other guests she came across wonderfully. I'm unsure of the hair and makeup choices, they've gone for a more relaxed look, but perhaps it'll come across better on the broadcast?

She walked in to Padam and she challenged Mawaan to do the choreo. Later on Graham brought up Tension and they played a bit of the music video!

My main gripe with the current campaign has been less focus on all her amazing things and achievements and focus on frivolous stuff like the ones I mentioned. And then carrying her own recording tools, etc. They don't even seem to talk about the album, every now and then she squeezes in the "Hold on to now is my favourite"

GN will help sell a few more this week….the chart drop shouldn’t be bad because the sales below her are low, obviously Ed or whoever is released today but after that it’s who streams most.

Ya the GN show will help and I do think week 2 will be fine.

Great to see another official Aussie number 1 for her.

Interesting that they’ve actually stuck to their word and removed the bonus download version from her store - I know they said it would be available for a week but I thought they would quietly leave it up.

I think it will be back in an Itunes package priced at a higher price than £4.99 and that's how they will justify it haha.

 

Available only for 1 week at £4.99 haha

 

Or another exclusive 4.99 download will be available with 2 new songs. However these store exclusives don't help with streaming so much better on Apple and Spotify .

 

 

Tension and Padam both still top 20 on itunes ahead of tonight's promo

 

Wish they would just release an EP of 9 different versions to download in same week lol. We eould be in our element. But all about the album it seems

Also number 1 in 2 of the biggest music markets in the world is just great for Kylie.

8,10,12 on current Amazon best sellers in last 24 hours. This is an important seller for her in week 2 so let's hope tonight's promo can help
My bank account does need to rest after all these variants but I will be PISSED if Love Train doesn’t make it into vinyl!

What did they say re the store digital? Just this week to ‘download’ or something?

 

Odd choice as surely they’ll want to release those tracks as part of a wider release or something and especially add to streaming considering it’s now top 16 tracks included not 12…well for UK albums it is, who knows what other territories do!

 

PP of ACR….please make it happen. We need it back in the top 40.
