They made a few mistakes this era (Remix vinyl, HOTN physical release etc.,) - definitely think it had something to do with the restructuring of BMG.

 

Also some of their acts they’ve previously had great success With have struggled with their recent releases (Rick Astley, Gabrielle).

Hopefully they can get back on track after the restructuring as they were really on fire there for a while.

Restructuring aside tension suffered due to Kylies unavailability to promote as i genuinely think if she was more available throughout the release the sales would be higher but not up with Golden and Disco.

Hopefully the new version if it does get released does well and that Kylie is around to promote it and ideally it will have a strong single to support it.

If this happens and we count in extension sales it will boost the sales nicely

Unless by some weird chart rule, it counts as a separate album entry and can get her another UK no1 album, I say let's just put Tension to rest and focus on the next era.

Part of me agrees as I think it's a bit to re release it but it all depends on what the new version offers.

I think they will want something newish out for her concerts in summer.dont think they will have full new album so a few new songs on a reissue maybe the best idea. The Vegas theme album cover etc does need to be dropped though

Honestly this - we’ve had all the formats etc and it’s time to move on rather than rehash it for another re-issue, would have loved it to have spent more weeks in the charts though.

Imagine BMG doing something completely random and sticking out a streaming/download only album/EP to push her streaming then stick them on a new album later in the year lol

 

I have a feeling in my water we will get something on her birthday week as it is easy passive promo to help any song
