It says that the album is nowhere near finished and that new inspiration has come, no matter how long the wait, I just hope it lives up to its hype.

Looks like we have a few months to wait, I thought the album was pretty much finished. If they are making changes it will mean further down the road we will get a few songs that were cut from the album.

In the meantime, she can release X on vinyl and Light Years/Aphrodite more widely!

On one hand, I'm glad she's taking her time with the album (and the idea of new inspiration sounds very promising), but on the other I'm too excited for a new Kylie album to wait any longer.

 

I am probably the one who wants this, but I'd love for Kylie to do a big band album a la the KylieX2008 version of Wow and the rendition of Love at First Sight she performed on Jools Holland in 2010. She would sound killer in that setting.

This suggests the new album isn’t finished yet!

I am fine with waiting for more! I felt DISCO era had just ended, I need some time to be honest, and it seems the quality will only improve if we wait!

I am not bothered about a delay. Nothing was ever officially confirmed anyway. I think releasing later in the year would be better anyway as albums tend to sell more in Q4.

Interesting Louise album has gone up on pre order for release on 2nd June.

I’d be surprised if they did the same for Kylie, a couple of months yes but not 6. They know Louise is probably going to be a one week wonder anyway so they may as well focus on getting as high a position as possible. For Kylie, they’ll be a focus on its longevity too.
