October 14, 20222 yr Such a shame but Bulgaria always feel like a risk with them relying on people to finance the participation (and if it's only going to be acts like Intelligent Music Project, rather them be out tbh), Montenegro too. Surprising that this is the first time Macedonia have pulled out. Hope Czech Republic stay in, they're on such a good run of entries.
October 14, 20222 yr Moldova and Armenia haven't confirmed yet but they had a successful 2022 in one way or another so hopefully they'll confirm soon.
October 20, 20222 yr https://www.ebu.ch/news/2022/10/37-countrie...st-in-liverpool The participating countries were announced! Sadly there were only 37 this time, with Bulgaria, Montenegro and North Macedonia withdrawing. Kazakhstan won't debut sadly.
October 20, 20222 yr Well at least we didn't lose Czechia as well as that had been rumoured. Sad to see so many departures though.
October 20, 20222 yr Shame to lose countries but hopefully that means less faves die in the semis. Poor Brooke
November 22, 20222 yr Eurovision has just announced a complete revamp in the voting system. https://eurovision.tv/story/voting-changes-...ng-contest-2023 Now, juries will not be involved in the voting for the semi-finals and the viewers from around the world can now vote online.
December 7, 20222 yr I don't know where to stick this but the BBC announced The Big Eurovision Party for their New Year's Day schedule from 12:30am - 2:25am (after Sam Ryder's NYE Party) which is rumoured to be the recording of Het Grote Songfestivalfeest (the all star concert that took place on 17th Nov). Rylan was there, the hosts kept switching between Dutch and English, and there were rumours the organisers had sold it to an international broadcaster. Edited December 7, 20222 yr by Megg065
February 2, 20232 yr Stage design revealed! https://eurovision.tv/story/first-look-eurovision-2023-stage It looks pretty nice. I'm hoping the rotating backscreen works this time! @1621086037517942784 Edited February 2, 20232 yr by uhsting
February 7, 20232 yr Today is a BLESSED day. I randomly checked and managed to book the last room at the closest Premier Inn to M&S Bank Arena (0.6 miles). Edited February 7, 20232 yr by Megan_
February 22, 20232 yr Julia Sanina (Vidbir judge, X Factor Ukraine judge), Alesha Dixon, and Hannah Waddingham from Ted Lasso have been announced as the hosts for all three live shows. Graham Norton will be joining them for the final (whilst still being on commentary duties, alongside Mel).
February 22, 20232 yr Interesting choices. I'd have had Rylan in the mix 100%, maybe for commentary if nothing else. But Graham Norton does deserve his chance to host. Julia fronts The Hardkiss apparently (Martin once sent them to BJSC). Alesha Dixon in too, and no space for AJ Odudu anywhere, that's a shame. Edit: Ah just saw Rylan and Scott Mills are doing the commentary for the semis, that's fair. Edited February 22, 20232 yr by gooddelta
March 7, 20232 yr Anyone manage to secure any tickets? I've got live semi 1 which I'm delighted about as it's easily looking like the better semi-final.
March 7, 20232 yr I got nothing either, no way was I paying for a hospitality package, which is the only thing still on there by the time I got in, gutting! Congrats Jahq, Semi 1 looks fantastic. Edited March 7, 20232 yr by gooddelta
