I just wanted a place to post about this song because it's a total epic and I could see it appealing quite heavily to a few people in this forum (not sure if no one has heard it or just no one has cared enough to post about it, I feel like it deserves the acknowledgement even if a bit late x). Enjoyed this band's BJSC entries before but this song is on another level.

They've dropped a couple of other singles too so I've made this an album thread. Lead single 'All Comes Crashing' was also quite good but didn't grab my attention in nearly the same way. Not yet heard the latest single 'What Feels Like Eternity' but I'll link it here anyway x

Very high-quality band whenever they catch my notice, echoing the love for Doomscroller, that was

building strong like an expected prog rock sound, which is still very high quality and then it started popping OFF *.*

edit: and All Comes Crashing is superb as well, What Feels Like Eternity more on the standard side of things but still enjoyable.

Looking forward to getting a hold of the album because this is ridiculous

(the whole album is $3 less than this! :heehee: )

Just checked and it is the same on UK iTunes (£7.99 for the "EP" consisting of a single song but £5.99 to pre-order the album) - how bizarre, I presume that must have been an automated process gone wrong somehow...

took a curiosity listen for it being a 10 minute 'total epic' and you didn't undersell it whatsoever, and I didn't even point their BJSC songs.

(this would absolutely win BJSC too if it doesn't get vetoed)

'Doomscroller' is sensational. In fact it has single-handedly influenced my decision to add the whole album to my planned listening this week.

^ I did think straight away it sounded like the kind of thing you'd stan!

I've heard 'What Feels Like Eternity' now and while it too isn't in the same league as 'Doomscroller' I do like it more than the first single as well, I think I will listen to the rest of the album too (will see if 'All Comes Crashing' clicks with me a bit more on a revisit).

Wow, this is really quite something, I enjoyed their BJSC entries but this is another level <3 Seemed to go between prog-rock, hardcore rave and indie-folk yet came together really well.
excellent album throughout, I'm going to listen to more Metric albums now, yet to hear a song I don't really like from them
Fantastic track, quite a journey from modern club track to piano ballad to 00s sounding indie epic. Yet it never feels stitched together at any point.
I was confusing Metric with Metrik so I was very baffled by the description of this song! Guess I'll have to give it a listen what with all this hype.

Have heard the rest of the album now and while 'Doomscroller' remains firmly in a league of its own I am also really liking 'False Dichotomy' and 'I Will Never Settle'.

Music video for the former:
