It done its job as a release though - kept the collectors and fans happy and generated ££ for BMG/Kylie.

It's indie singles no 30. Indie single no 20 is no 99 in the official top 100, so Especially For You could be around no 150 overall.

Theoretically, but there's no official positions lower than #100, so it doesn't have a chart position for this week.

Are all the new editions fully sold out?

No both the vinyl and cassette still available plus the ‘limited edition’ print - they seemed to totally dump it week of release and there were no Kylie or Jason social media posts that it was available to buy.

Bizarre as you would think BMG would be keen to sell out of items like this as mainstream interest will be minimal.

Some vinyl still floating about - 'Especially for You' is down 2-7 on the physical singles chart and 1-12 on vinyl.

It must have sold reasonably decently on cassette last week because in the physical chart 'Especially for You' is ahead of 6 singles that are ahead of it in the vinyl chart!

I buy cassettes for artists I collect but I generally hate them as a format (although they help with chart battles most weeks  ) but I love the EFY one - it feels right that it should be reissued on cassette as it was released at a time when cassettes and vinyl were dominant.

Was it 5000 of each that were pressed?

No numbers were floated around but 5k seems to be the max they release for Kylie’s physical singles so I can’t see it being more than that.

Love that it’s still managing 10 sales a week :kink:

It might pick up a few extra sales of fans that didn’t buy it on release have added it when buying IP.

Currently #31 on the physical chart, the price drop should see another boost for it this week.

Chart run is as follows:

NE: 2-7-26-25 (first entry: 18/08/22) 4w

RE: 41-31 (second entry: 22/09/22) 2w

Total: 6w

Well at least it wasn't a one week wonder on that chart although its probably one of the least relevant charts around.
