Don't worry she's signing and signing and signing those CD's they've just done another restock 🤣

I said this from the start with Jade (I'm glad they cottoned on and she signed loads throughout the week) but they all have fans that will EAT UP signed copies so they need to maximise this.

I'm glad Perrie's sorting all the personally signed early so then they can restock when she's back for her gig.

I asked her to write lyrics from the album on mine so that's so special if she was thinking up lyrics on her Insta story for mine :)

NUMBER 2 IN MONDAYS UPDATE 😮😮

Signing (in person, mostly) seems like such an easy way to guarantee sales that I'm surprised more artists don't do it? Or that they only do a couple in release week?

I reckon doing constant signings, even after release week, would entice so many casual fans to buy the album just for the sake of getting a selfie that it could probably convert them into genuine fans if they listen to and enjoy the album as well.

I guess they are quite gruelling and probably uncomfortable/awkward for the artist though...

I think they have to have bigger fanbases that will buy into them in that way. There's nothing worse than hardly anyone going and they get cancelled (Joy Crooks for instance)

For Perrie / Jade / Leigh it's perfect though it solidifies the fanbase and builds a buzz. Jade's Parade really was a moment so many clips on Tiktok etc..

I hope we get some surprises in release week Perrie seems in such high spirits and definitely has the work ethic to make the debut a success.

I dont think her or anyone else expects big things. She probably had a contract that guaranteed an album release. She's at least 5 or 6 months pregnant so it was now or never.

So I went to the event tonight and I can’t put into words how incredibly sweet she was. I am genuinely so happy. She played a few songs from the album and performed a few tracks too. We got to watch the music video for Rocket Scientist!!! Super simple but I actually really enjoyed it - Emotional.

The album is definitely very personal. Absof***inglutely is about Alex proposing. Punchline is her karma for possibly being horrible in a past life.

Perrie played a song called ‘Passenger Princess’ which will be on the deluxe. The song is SO good and a bop, it should have been on the album (Perrie agreed with me when I said that). Perrie said the song with axel’s heartbeat will also be on the deluxe. Tears, Rollercoaster, Woman in Love and more will be on the deluxe.

After the event Perrie had photos with each of us. She gave me the biggest hug and literally said she spotted me while she was singing and said she was singing directly to me as I was ‘so so cute’ - LIFE MADE.

Incredible experience.

Only negative was the fans that go to everything being rude and pushing to the front and taking no consideration of anyone else. Don’t know how they are still invited…

Everything else was great. Free drink, food and a great experience. She brought along some producers and talked about the songs. She played Miss You, Absof***inglutely, Bonnie & Clyde and Punchline.

She took her time with us and had a proper chat. She really is so charismatic and lovely.

I LOVE PERRIE FOR THIS!!! She always come across as the nicest person ever! Which is why it's been hard dissing her output's until she went back into the studio. I do think having tears etc on a deluxe makes sense as a lot of people do like it.

All of the LM ladies are so sweet but Perrie is just so extra humble and you can tell she'd be amazing friend bless her.

I really hope the album brings in decent numbers and secures a top 5 for her.

(Agree the usual suspects are getting on my nerves always at the front / dominating everything it's unfair on others)

Glad you had an amazing time it's nice to hear some new people had a chance for once.

Yeah I’ve met 3/4 and they were all so sweet but Perrie was another level. People say not meet your idols but she was everything and more. People were about to leave and she shouted ‘NO YOU GUYS DONT GO WE’RE HAVING PHOTOS’ - which was so sweet of her. It was a no phone event so they took professional pics and she happily took a few with me, we even took a funny one.

Honestly, the usual suspects are actually so rude in person….

Yeah I’m so glad there were some first timers like me there! Such a great experience, I hope more of us get that chance!

That sounds amazing! Ew at the usual suspects though ugh.

So so happy for you! Wish I could go to one but unfortunately Idk where to enter to even be in with a chance nowadays lmao.

GL: Baby Steps is a very emotional track.
PE: I loved writing that song. There's a line in it, ‘It hurts to know you chose to do life without me’. I think there's so much in that. When you lose somebody, I feel like you grieve them and you go through all the different stages of grief. It sounds a bit morbid, but when you're so in love with someone, and they leave you or break your heart, it's like, 'f***, they're still walking the earth, but they just don't want me’. But I love the idea of everything in life, no matter how hard it is, you're not going to get instantly better. It's going to take baby steps.

GL: Which was the hardest song to write?
PE: Probably Same Place, Different Viewbecause it was so personal and it's about somebody else, I was very cautious of how I was saying things. It's about a friendship that I once had, that I no longer have anymore. We talk about breakups and heartbreak, but we don't normally talk about friendships that break down. And it was like losing a limb. I was with her every day. We lived in each other's pockets. We were the best of friends, we were so close, and we did everything together. To then not have her in my life anymore was a big thing for me. I found it really hard to adapt.

GL: It's the same sort of grief as heartbreak.
PE: It's the same thing. It's a lot. I didn't get closure, I didn't quite understand what was going on. So, in that song there's some home truths, but there's still that element of hope at the end.

GL: Last week, Jade vowed that there will be a Little Mix reunion ‘if it’s the last thing she does’. Where do you stand on that?
PE: Because we love each other so much, we would never say no. I don't think we've ever fully closed the door. We knew that it came to a natural turning point in all our personal lives, career-wise, it felt like the perfect time to do what we did. But then in the future, who knows? The more we leave it, the more nostalgic it feels to me. When I hear a Little Mix song now, it just hits, doesn't it? We had some bangers. I feel like Little Mix will never die.

Perrie talking about 'Same Place, Different View':

"Same Place Different View is about a friendship that I no longer have. In music, a lot of the time we hear heartbreak songs about this romantic significant other, but we don't often talk about losing a friend and how it hurts as much as heartbreak, if not worse.

"In life, relationships, they come and go. You meet people, it doesn't work out. You think it's end game, but it's not. But the common thread throughout your life is that best friend who's always been there, they've seen everything, they know everything you know. You live in each other's pockets. You're like the same person. You're practically sisters, and then, they're gone. Gone.

"It's having to navigate that. The way my friendship ended with this person wasn't very straightforward. I felt like I didn't get closure. I tried to do everything in my power to help that person, be there for them and prove to them that my arms were always open and I was there if they needed me.

"I don't think I could have said it enough, which is why, then, when the friendship ended and it went kind of sour, I was thinking, 'how has that happened?' I started questioning my sanity thinking, 'Oh, my God, did I do something? Was I not good enough as a friend? Did I disappoint them in the friendship? Like, what the f*ck is that?'

"This song was really, really hard to write because I tiptoed around the lyrics a lot. It took me a long time to perfect the lyrics, because I wanted to be open, raw and honest and to the point, but at the same time, I didn't want to be too bitchy. And there's still hope in there. There was a fine line with this song.

"I did it with the McDonough brothers, who did Joji's Glimpse of Us, probably one of my most listened to songs ever in the world. probably one of my most listened to songs ever in the world. I adore everything about it.

"When I recorded it, I wanted to make sure it was very intimate, because I'm telling a story about something so meaningful to me. You can hear every little imperfection in the vocal, and it sounds like the complete opposite to everything I've done with my other ballads. My other ballads are big and they're belty, and I intentionally didn't want to belt anything in this. I wanted it to be more delicate.

"It was very therapeutic, and so many people relate. So many of my friends and family have reached out to be like, 'Oh my god, yeah, this is for my best friend that I don't even talk to anymore' and it's like 'God, it's such a thing.'"

Breakdown of each song here:

https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/perrie-album-track-by-track/

At some point, we'll need a tell-it-all documentary about what really happened between Jesy and the girls.

Honestly, I’m not sure I want that. I don’t think it’s anyones business tbh.

I get why people will want it, I’d just personally rather not. Should be between no one else but the girls.

Of course, they'll only share the full story if they want to. Both Jade and Perrie have now recorded songs believed to be about that relationship, for public consumption. With each song providing another dimension to the breakdown, it just makes one sad, and curious at the same time.

It wasn't just their talent that won many hearts; it was also their sisterhood, friendship and overall positive vibes.

So I think it's okay for fans to want some form of closure as well; maybe that's entitlement, or maybe that's just fans being fans.

But yes, at the end of the day, only they should share what they decide to share.

Looking forward to this track and the entire album.

Just listened to the album since its out in new zealand 🙏

The Singles she released so far were the right and strongest ones but "punchline, "where you are" and "pushing up daisies" are my faves and the standouts of this project besides the released ones ofc + those 3 are more single worthy songs than Rocket Scientist i dont know why on earth she decided to make that the single which is one of my least fav actually 😳

the ballads/slow tempo produced songs are definitely the weakest since they are pretty forgettable if i'm honest but really good vocals i'll give her that 😔

The rest of the songs are somewhere in the middle i guess i need more time with them

Overall well its...at least cohesive since it leans more into this soft rock sub genre on this album and its pretty decent for me and i hope it does well for her but i just hope we get more "artistry" and "personality" from her on the next projects since this felt kinda rushed and not really commercial tbh

7/10 🙏
