Linkin Park burst on to the music scene in 2000 but started making huge waves in the UK in 2001. Hybrid Theory was their debut album from which the group lifted 4 singles culminating in the top 10 single In The End. Hybrid Theory had also been an earlier name for the group describing their fusion of different sounds.

This album is a real throwback to teenage years for me. Linkin Park along with Eminem pretty much sum up the scene of my early teens with my friendship group so a lot of these songs take me back to fond memories. The singles in particularly take me right back with Crawling and In The End being my favourites.

Of course, this was just the beginning for the band and they went from strength to strength throughout the rest of the decade, including the unlikely yet successful team up with Jay Z for the Collision Course album. Sadly, we’re still reeling from the untimely death of singer Chester Bennington in 2017.

'In The End' was the only song I knew at the time, it was the Meteora album that made me a massive Linkin Park fan and led me to listen to this one. 'Crawling' was the big standout and will always be my fave, and actually I prefer the Reanimation version even more

Excellent album, one of my all time favourites. Although, that being said, Meteora is perfection for me it showed fantastic growth whilst being so clearly a Linkin park sound and lyric that they introduced with their debut.

In The End is gorgeous, lyrically, emotionally and will forever be one of my top 3 songs of all time, possibly even my favourite. (In a fight with Avril Lavigne - I'm with you).

Points of authority, A place for my head and Crawling were the other album highlights but there isn't much about the album to not enjoy in all honesty.

I'm still amazed (but not shocked) at how well this album sold worldwide, but i'm thrilled that so many got to enjoy this album. All their albums have an extra poignancy for me since we lost Chester, in his songs you hear a lot of pain, stories told with a beautiful voice to convey the often dark, deep lyrics.
