Glad CWLCD (the better of ella's 2 collabs) is becoming the bigger hit! Hope it can make the top 5 soon, such a bop

Cuff It sounding pretty good too - good on Beyonce for coming back with really interesting material.

IFTK has grown on me quite a bit and I’m only saying positive things about it now we’ve seen how bad they can be with last week’s #2. As this kind of remake goes it’s decent.

21 reasons is sooo dull. :(

21 Reasons vs OneRep, easily two of the worst songs at the moment

the most generic dance song and Ella's worst song ever vs a copycat of Portugal the Man

Biography

Pop-rock band OneRepublic have been consistent hitmakers of the 21st century, without ever sticking to a formula. A lot of that pop intuition and innovation starts with frontman Ryan Tedder, who began playing coffeehouses in Colorado in the late ’90s with high school buddies including guitarist Zach Filkins. When Tedder moved to Los Angeles a few years later, he reconnected with Filkins and together they formed OneRepublic in 2002. At the same time, Tedder was building his career as a songwriter, eventually writing and producing singles for artists like Leona Lewis, Hilary Duff, and Jennifer Lopez. But when it came to his own band, he’s said his goal has never been to write a hit, only to create genuine works of art: “It has to be a hundred-percent authentic and visceral to my human experience. If I haven’t felt it, if I didn’t go through it, if it’s not resonating with me, I can’t sing it,” Tedder told Apple Music. That straight-from-the-heart mentality is what ignites the straight-to-the-gut effect of OneRepublic’s greatest anthems, starting with their 2006 debut single “Apologize”—which eventually became a multiplatinum success—and later with even bigger songs like 2013’s propulsive folk-pop stomper “Counting Stars” and more diverse sounds such as 2016’s silvery synth groove “Kids.” As Tedder continues to rack up songwriting and production credits alongside Beyonce, Ed Sheeran, Adele, and other chart-topping stars, he’s still saving up his hardest emotional punches for OneRepublic’s next global smash. - Apple Music

I guess they didn't count Harry's singles for this week, otherwise Late Night Talking would have gone top 10...

Props to OneRepublic for getting such a big hit out of this, I don't think much of it myself though. Yay for freshness in the top 10 I suppose!

Did not see a top 10 for OneRepublic coming in 2022, props to them!

I ended up enjoying the use of 'Danger Zone' in 'Top Gun: Maverick' a lot more than the new songs, sadly 'Hold My Hand' didn't get the opportunity to grow on me live as I had to leave just before it was performed at Gaga's show last week :kink:

Happy for OneRepublic getting a hit in general but this really isn’t great. Wish Wherever I Go could have had this success.

Biography

With her enchanting howl of a voice and passion for outrageous creative risk, Kate Bush strikes an uncanny balance between artistic experimentation and pop satisfaction. In a career that goes back to the late ’70s, she’s produced hits like “This Woman’s Work,” “Babooshka,” and “Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)” alongside esoteric song cycles and conceptual works, inspiring artists as diverse as St. Vincent and Big Boi with her wonderfully witchy distillation of literary themes, musical idioms, and studio innovations. Born Catherine Bush in July 1958 in Kent, England, she grew up in a village farmhouse with an ever-supportive Roman Catholic family. Her two older brothers, John and Paddy, were her earliest collaborators; her big break came at age 16 when Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour helped her produce a demo tape and land a record deal. She was a sensation from the start with her Emily Brontë-inspired 1978 debut single, “Wuthering Heights,” summoning raw desire with her piercing soprano and the video's interpretive dance moves. She went on to produce a string of acclaimed albums throughout the ’80s and into the ’90s—including 1985’s masterful Hounds of Love, which veers between synth-pop, piano balladry, Irish folk, and earthy lyricism. Bush has been quieter in more recent years, releasing just three albums in the 2000s and 2010s. But her visionary work helped make way for the post-genre pop of artists like Lorde and Billie Eilish, while her artistic autonomy sets an important standard for the music industry. - Apple Music
