Long time lurker. First time poster. I have an idea. What do you think? Kneecap are currently leading the race. They are an Irish catholic republican band with a big following. There is a massive

At this point nothing surprises me anymore. I’m actually used to these kind of mistakes 😅

In Spain, the This Time CD literally says “Meinale C”, and my Taiwanese Beautiful Intentions CD calls her “Melanic C” 🤣🤣

Apparently it's not a mistake, it's because it's her ninth album

Hmm I think that's just a funny coincidence - the spines of the CDs and Cassettes are MELANIE C as they should be.

that sounds like an excuse tbh lol it's just on the vinyls apparently, though it is on all vinyl editions. They mainly use the same design across all editions (apart from the cover on a couple) so it is most probably a clear mistake that got overlooked

When will get the first sales info? Can't wait!

I think on Tuesday since Monday is a bank holiday in the UK

The Spotify streaming numbers are now available and they are so so low...

Most tracks between 9,000 - 14,000 streams only. Drum Machine has 76,000 because it is the focus track of course. Still very low...

I still think that she can do Top5 but she will struggle without better streaming this week. Pretty sure she did better streaming numbers during her last album.

Yeah her team definitely needs to work on getting her songs on more playlists. Sweat only has 2.6 million streams in 6 months. With the amount of promo she did for Sweat (the song) its streaming numbers are low.

It's actually quite strange since the singles are so gym-playlisting driven but seemingly no big/official playlists picked them up?... And yeah she has been performing and promoting everywhere, but it is not really translating to streams outside of her usual fanbase.

It's good album but I think it's a very now album that probably won't age well but for now I'm enjoying it and I really think her worst outcome chart wise will be top 5.

I agree with this actually!

This X/Twitter account is quite big and has acknowledged Melanie in two posts about iTunes Charts. They even cover Spotify, hopefully someone streams it out of curiosity.

Also: I remember checking previously, and streams were a bit lower during the weekend. I hope her team has something planned for this few days before the official chart announcement.

For me, what’s strange is that they didn’t make more use of Sweat (single) in playlists. Because a lot of people who’ve heard it—who have nothing to do with the Spice Girls—have said it’s really good. I think it had the potential to reach a much wider audience, but I don’t know why they didn’t include it in any major playlists :(

That's my main gripe here too. Sweat and the follow up singles all lend themselves well to major playlists from Spotify but seemingly nothing was done to that effort. Record Labels have to submit them for playlists....

If it was submitted, it didn't get picked up by the streaming platforms which is another possibility.

Hopefully it gets sindicated for gym playlists at least in the UK, it makes sense.
