It wasn’t a red. He was cynical but he didn’t go in with the studs up!

He just slipped I think if the VAR looked more carefully and asked to review they would have made it a yellow but they couldn’t be bothered. Bruno is a diver and a moaner but he isn’t really dirty and doesn’t make bad tackles so the ref showed his low football IQ in my opinion

  • He's been on par with Chelsea's Robert Sanchez this season who is also shockingly mistake-prone for a 'top' team. At least they've had the foresight to kick him out of the team (even though the backup

He did mean to stop the spurs attack for me though and knew what he was doing if you check the movement after the slip so it was a yellow but def not a red.
VAR is pretty useless in it's current format though for these types of decisions, I think unless it is a MASSIVE error they're unlikely to get involved and just stick with the referee's decision.
Widely reported that Ten Hag will be sacked if Man Utd get a bad result today
Aston Villa better be worried then because ETH always manages to pull out a result right when he's on the brink.
Should make an interesting game to view given that his future hangs in the balance. I don't think victory alone would be enough to secure his future but it would make it harder for INEOS to sack him immediately. All comes down to who will replace him as interim.

It will be an easy upgrade for Van Nistelrooy if ETH is sacked, they'll give him the rest of the season and we'll be right back to 2018 with the Ole situation.

Apparently they've revived talks with Tuchel but pretty sure he rejected us in the summer so can't see him wanting it now. I just pray we don't do something unforgivably stupid and give the job to Potter or Southgate.

October 2024. 5 transfer windows and £650M+ spent and we are STILL back to Maguire and Evans in defence, you really can't write it
We’ve got to keep this party going guys, give Erik a 6 year contract!!
Pretty pointless game, the Aston Villa free kick routine the most entertaining thing to happen. Ten Hag really isn’t going anywhere but technically a point at villa isn’t the worst result but everything is just average atm
It was a terrible display from start to finish for us. I'm sure Tottenham will get overly excited after this win but they will just be their usual inconsistent selves, I wouldn't be surprised if they lose next week to Brighton.

How right you were with this prediction!

Same as Liverpool actually, beating us 3-0 means you will lose your next match.

It's what Tottenham do. Instead of building upon wins like what they had last week they get carried away and then have results like today. We lost to them last week because of how badly we played, not because of how well they played.

Tuchel would be a disaster. He'd come, want to spend a load of money in January and have way too much power, no way he'd want to do a Head Coach role. A literal gamble at finishing in the Top 5 to get CL.

Ineos clearly have no idea what style of football Utd want to play etc. - bonkers!

Its important to note that United may have won 20 league titles, but those championships have come under only three managers. And history shows that between Ernest Mangnall and Matt Busby, and between Busby and Ferguson, there was chaos, disappointment and acrimony. I for one having had my footballing love nurtured in the post 1991 period as a Liverpool fan hope the soap opera goes on.

I don’t see that point as relevant. Man Utd have the biggest fanbase and the biggest income they should not be struggling to get near top 4

It was merely highlighting how chaos reigned supreme in between 2 great managers i didnt say they should be struggling to make the top 4 given their income (I have stated a number of times that considering the amount of ££ thrown at the club they do terribly).

Anyway the meeting has begun with INEOS so just waiting on the white smoke regard Eriks future.

Ferguson was in charge for a huge amount of time and in that time Man Utd became a super powerhouse so stuff before that has less relevance since the bar has been raised very high. Man Utd were always huge but Fergie put Man Utd on a par with Real Madrid so there is no excuse for failure now whereas before 70/80’s there was

I really hope they don’t panic and go for Tuchel. At least let Ruud have a few months.

Shouldn't Liverpool have more than one Premier League title in the past 10 years for how good they've supposedly been? soap opera indeed.

Liverpool have been one of the best run clubs in europe over the past decade in terms of playing style, manager, trophies, fighting for league titles, the way the back room team and coaches buy players and thats without a state run enterprise to support them. As a supporter who never seen his team win the title for 30 years of my life I am very happy with winning the league and a champions league in the past decade.

And seeing United do what we did in the 90s has made the last decade even more fun especially when their supporters have said 'football is dead' and 'the premier league is so boring with Pep as a manager, I cant wait until he leaves to get our league back'
